Valedictorian Nguyet Hang said that when she was a 8th-grade student at Thanh My Secondary School ( Lam Dong province), chemistry was the subject that haunted her the most among all the science subjects because she always got low scores.

"By the end of 8th grade, having recognized my weaknesses in this subject, I was determined to make it my best subject. I started dedicating almost all my time to self-study, searching for materials from various chemistry groups and practicing more exam questions," Nguyet Hang shared.
She said her learning method is very simple: using many real-world examples makes the problems easier to understand. "When I learn a new chemical, I'll go online to look up its applications or read fun chemistry experiment books to relax my mind while still grasping the knowledge," the student said.

By the time she was in 12th grade, after moving to Ho Chi Minh City to study, Hang practiced 2-3 exam papers in science subjects every day and regularly participated in mock exams at school every week to review any unclear knowledge. She revealed that from the time she started studying until the high school graduation exam, she had practiced more than 100 exam papers.
Speaking about her feelings upon becoming the top scorer in the A00 group nationwide, Nguyet Hang expressed: "Beforehand, I had accurately predicted that I would achieve a score of 29.35, but being the top scorer was unexpected. My only regret is that I got two questions wrong, and one question I had previously answered correctly but later corrected."
When asked, "What do you do when you're stressed while studying for exams?", Hang said she usually eats ice cream and reads books, because those moments help her relax and reduce stress a lot.
As Hang's homeroom teacher, Mr. Vu Van Thao said: "Initially, when Hang moved to Ho Chi Minh City to study at a boarding school, she was quite shy because she missed home, but by the second semester, after integrating better, she began to show her academic abilities. Hang dedicated almost all her time to studying for exams, so achieving this high score is entirely deserved."
In addition, this top-scoring female student also won second prize in the provincial-level chemistry competition for gifted students in 9th grade and achieved 1,032 points in the aptitude test of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City.
"Currently, I'm considering choosing between two universities: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Trade. I will watch many career guidance programs and identify my passions to make the right choice," the top-scoring female student said.
