Cadres, union members and workers have high expectations for the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union.

DTO - The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (GDC) for the 2023-2028 term will be held in early December 2023 in Hanoi. At this time, a large number of cadres, union members and workers in the province have spent time paying attention, following and looking forward to the important political event of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (GDC) with great confidence and expectations.

Nguyen Thanh Nghia - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation:

The 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is an important political event for the working class and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, so I am very interested in this event. I hope that the Congress will elect a new Executive Committee with virtue, talent, and vision, truly representing the intelligence and aspiration to lead the successful implementation of the task of building and developing the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the new period. At the same time, it will propose Resolutions, Programs, and Plans to strongly innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, actively care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially workers in difficult circumstances, so that workers can stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind, and contribute to the sustainable development of agencies, units, enterprises, localities, and the country.

I hope that the Trade Union organization will pay more attention to training, fostering and implementing policies and regimes for Trade Union officials, especially Trade Union officials in the non-state sector; pay attention to implementing digital transformation in Trade Union activities, focusing on digital transformation in developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and inspection and supervision of Trade Union organizations.

Tran Thi Cam Loan - Member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Truong Giang Seafood Joint Stock Company:

I hope that in the new term, the Trade Union will pay more attention to organizing activities to care for union members and workers, especially workers with especially difficult circumstances working in industrial parks; organize many forms of care for workers during Tet, Workers' Month, build clubs, playgrounds, worker forums, take care of workers' health, discount sales programs, "Zero-VND Market" for workers. Especially pay attention to investing in building Trade Union institutions, including social housing to create conditions for workers to have the opportunity to rent housing at reasonable prices, suitable to their financial capacity.

At the same time, actively launch many emulation movements, commend the spirit of overcoming difficulties and creativity of workers; pay attention to effective solutions so that workers have stable jobs, guaranteed benefits, and better income; promptly grasp the thoughts, feelings, and aspirations of workers through meetings and dialogues to make recommendations to the Party and State on issues that are still inadequate and difficult.

Le Thi Nho - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Ty Thac Company Limited:

It is an honor to be one of the official delegates attending the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the 2023-2028 term. I sincerely thank the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for its active care for workers during the past term, especially the timely support for workers to overcome difficulties during the Covid-19 pandemic and during the period of economic recession when workers had reduced working hours and lost their jobs. Thereby, helping workers feel secure in their work and be more attached to the trade union organization and the enterprise.

To attract more workers to join the trade union, I hope that all union members will enjoy many preferential services from cooperation agreements signed by the trade union with partners and businesses, in which more attention is paid to essential areas such as health care and necessities to serve the needs of workers. Organizing trade union programs and activities must become attractive and trustworthy destinations for workers.
