People at the end of the inner-field road in Thuan Binh hamlet hope to have electricity soon.

For many years, people living and farming along both sides of the asphalt road leading to a fruit growing area in Thuan Binh hamlet, Truong Mit commune, Tay Ninh province, have been hoping that the Electricity industry will pay attention to investing in a power grid to serve their lives and production.

Asphalt road leading to the fruit growing area

Previously, the above-mentioned route was an inland dirt road, starting from Provincial Road 784, about 2km long to N4 canal. On both sides of the road are large fruit growing areas, mainly longan and durian. This inland road helps transport agricultural products and traffic between Truong Mit - Loc Ninh communes (the last section uses the N4 canal bank to make a traffic road). Therefore, more than 3 years ago, the authorities invested in upgrading it to a hot asphalt concrete road.

The area about 300m from Provincial Road 784 has had electricity for many years, but the last section of the route still has no electricity. Mr. Ho Van Giang has a long-standing durian garden along the inner-field road. He and many other local residents hope that the Electricity industry will pay attention to surveying and investing in the power grid so that people can feel secure in their production.

Mr. Dang Van Duong, who also has a durian garden along this road, said: "During the dry season, we have to water a lot, and during the rainy season, we have to use gasoline and diesel pumps to pump out water to save the plants. Moving these machines costs a lot of money. If the power grid is spread here, people can use motors to pump water, which will be more convenient, save money, and can install a surveillance camera system to protect the garden."

Mr. Dang Van Duong is still using diesel engines for agricultural production.

In order to have electricity, in recent years, some households at the end of the route have spent a lot of money to bring electricity from the residential area of Xom Giua. However, the distance is quite far, so the electricity is weak, there is a large loss of electricity, and there is a potential risk of unsafety. Moreover, the cost of spontaneous electricity is too high, making it impossible for many households to follow suit.

The desire to have electricity for use, production and daily life of the people in the above mentioned area is a legitimate aspiration. The authorities, especially the Electricity sector, should soon pay attention, survey and have a specific plan to help the wishes of the people here come true./.
