Over the years, Hai Phong Eye Hospital has deployed many specialized techniques in eye examination and treatment for people.

The People's Committee of Hai Phong City has just issued a decision to recognize Hai Phong Eye Hospital as a Grade I medical examination and treatment facility of the city, with a recognition period of 5 years from the date of decision.

The decision to promote is based on the evaluation results according to the criteria of Circular 06/2024/TT-BYT issued by the Ministry of Health , which regulates the ranking system of health service units, including criteria on professional capacity, facilities, human resource management and finance.

According to the evaluation report, Hai Phong Eye Hospital scored 91/100 points, meeting the requirements to be ranked as Grade I. This not only affirms professional capacity but also creates favorable conditions for the hospital to continue to expand professional cooperation, training and scientific research.

The hospital was assigned 120 beds according to Decision No. 3923/QD-UBND dated October 25, 2024 of Hai Phong City People's Committee on increasing the planned bed quota for 2024 of Hai Phong Eye Hospital.

Over the years, Hai Phong Eye Hospital has proactively deployed many advanced techniques, such as cataract surgery, refractive surgery and other specialized interventions for the people of Hai Phong city and neighboring provinces; at the same time, it has participated in community eye care programs, directed lower levels and trained medical staff. In addition, the hospital has also participated in the national program on community health care in ophthalmology.
