The City People's Committee has just issued a Decision to recognize Hai Phong Eye Hospital, under the Department of Health, as a Grade I medical examination and treatment facility according to Circular No. 06/2024/TT-BYT. The recognition period is 05 years from the date of issuance of the Decision.

Hai Phong Eye Hospital is the city's final-level eye hospital located in An Bien ward, Hai Phong city with a scale of 120 beds.

Hai Phong Eye Hospital is ranked Grade I of the city.

Here, the Hospital is responsible for emergency care and specialized eye examination and treatment for people in Hai Phong city and neighboring provinces.

This is also a training facility for medical staff , scientific research, technical guidance for lower levels, medical economic management and international cooperation in the field of Ophthalmology and a gathering place for leading experts in the field of Ophthalmology in the city. Hai Phong Eye Hospital was ranked as a Grade II public service unit by the People's Committee of Hai Phong City in Decision No. 98/QD-UBND dated January 12, 2024. Up to now, the Hospital has achieved 91/100 points according to the criteria of Circular No. 06/2024/TT-BYT dated May 16, 2024 of the Ministry of Health on regulations on ranking medical public service units, equivalent to a Grade I Hospital.
