The first consultative conference on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031

On the afternoon of December 5, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ca Mau province held the first consultation conference to agree on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province Ho Thanh Thuy and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Nhung attended the conference.

At the conference, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thi Nhung presented the expected allocation of structure, composition and number of candidates. Accordingly, the total number of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term of the province is allocated to 13 deputies, including: 08 deputies residing and working in the locality, 05 deputies introduced by the Central Government. For the Provincial People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, the province introduced 182 deputies, the total number of elected deputies is 73 deputies.

The planning of the structure, composition and allocation of the number of candidates to be nominated for election must follow the principles of democracy, impartiality and transparency; focus on the quality of personnel; ensure the balance between delegates working in Party agencies, socio- political organizations, social organizations, socio-professional organizations, armed forces, provincial-level State agencies, etc.

Delegates discussed and voted in 100% agreement on the structure, composition and number of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and Provincial People's Council for the 2026-2031 term.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Ho Thanh Thuy spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Ho Thanh Thuy requested agencies, organizations and units to closely coordinate with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front in introducing personnel, preparing documents, ensuring the selection of qualified and trustworthy people, contributing to the overall success of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
