Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized that this is not only a statistical figure but also a recognition of the persistent efforts of the Party, State and the whole society in creating a peaceful and humane living environment. He affirmed that the optimistic spirit, humanity and aspiration of the Vietnamese people are the foundation for the country's strength for many decades.
Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh shared that each citizen is the subject of creating and spreading happiness. For Vietnamese people, happiness always starts from simple things: a family meal, a bountiful harvest, or a helping hand in times of trouble. It is these seemingly small values that have formed the nation's enduring strength. He hopes that Happy Fest will become an annual activity, as a "destination of love", where people can send and receive joy from the community.
The special highlight of the program is the mass wedding ceremony “Couple Day - Love is happiness”, with the participation of 80 couples, symbolizing the 80-year journey of “Independence - Freedom - Happiness” of the nation.
Amidst the enthusiastic applause of the audience, the couples entered the main stage, creating a rare touching scene in a special cultural space in the heart of Hanoi. The love stories shared at the ceremony created a range of emotions: young people entering marriage for the first time with new hope; couples who have been together for decades still holding hands affectionately; and veteran artists - witnesses of love lasting for half a century. All painted a vivid and inspiring picture of love.
The mass wedding ceremony was not only a symbolic ceremony but also conveyed a profound message: Each family is a cell of happiness; and when happiness is nurtured sustainably, the nation will become stronger and more compassionate. In the moment when 80 couples exchanged a kiss of commitment amidst the pink confetti, the space of Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square was filled with emotions, imbued with pure happiness spreading throughout the community.
Happiness is sharing, connecting the community
Speaking at the program, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information, said that happiness is not only a personal feeling but also a sharing and connection in the community.

According to him, Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 is organized to bring the values of “Independence - Freedom - Happiness” closer to the lives of each citizen through intimate and emotional activities. He emphasized that the photo exhibition, experiential space, community art and mass wedding ceremony all aim to honor the good, arouse compassion and inspire each person to “feel happiness in every moment”.
During the festival, the space around Hoan Kiem Lake is designed into a "Happiness Road" with many harmoniously arranged areas such as the "Happy Vietnam" Exhibition, digital interactive area, photo booth, "Happiness Tree", art stages and community exchange activities.

Delegates attending the program took souvenir photos with 80 couples.
These are not only check-in points but also spaces for people to send their wishes, share their personal stories, or simply find a peaceful moment amidst the busy pace of life. The Organizing Committee hopes that each person coming to the festival will become an “ambassador of happiness”, spreading positive energy throughout the community.
Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 will continue until December 7 with art programs, experiential activities and rich exhibition spaces, promising to attract a large number of people and tourists. The event not only enriches the cultural life of the capital but also contributes to promoting the image of a humane, friendly, peace-loving and aspirational Vietnam to international friends.
“Vietnam Happy Fest 2025” is associated with the “Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam” Human Rights Media Award, an annual award approved by the Government to encourage the creation of photos and videos about Vietnam and its people on digital platforms.
The "Happy Vietnam 2025" Human Rights Media Awards Ceremony took place on the evening of December 6, with the participation of many artists. The program spread positive spirit and sharing, connecting love towards the central region which is facing many difficulties.
