Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 spreads the message of happiness and community sharing

On the morning of December 6, the opening ceremony of Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 took place at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, opening a series of cultural and community activities lasting until December 7. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Hanoi People's Committee, Vietnam Television and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said that 2025 marks an important step forward for Vietnam when it ranks 46th in the world in the Happiness Index Report, up 8 places compared to 2024. This is the basis for the cultural sector to continue pursuing the orientation of building a humane living environment, promoting spiritual values and social cohesion. According to the Deputy Minister, the Vietnam Happy Day is not only an occasion to honor good things but also a reminder of community responsibility and sharing between people.

The event space is organized according to the model of "Happiness Road" with 13 experience points along the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake. People and tourists can visit the "Happy Vietnam" photo exhibition, digital interactive area, art exhibition, happiness map, "Sending happiness to tomorrow" space or "Happiness Tree" - where people write wishes and send their hopes for the future. The "Sharing happiness" and "Health is happiness" areas attract many families and young people to participate in companion activities, advice, and raise awareness about healthy lifestyles.

The highlight of the program was the mass wedding ceremony of 80 couples which took place right after the opening ceremony. With the theme “Couple Day - Love is Happiness”, 80 couples exchanged vows in the open space of the walking street, symbolizing 80 years of independence - freedom - happiness of the nation. The image of young couples holding hands to the music and the blessings of the community is considered a beautiful symbol of the spirit of solidarity, love and simple happiness of the Vietnamese people. The organizers said that the mass wedding not only created a visual impression but also conveyed the message of companionship and sharing in building a sustainable family.

This year, Vietnam Happy Fest also focuses on the Central region people affected by natural disasters through donation programs, exhibitions and experiential spaces to spread the spirit of mutual love. This is a new point of Vietnam Happy Fest 2025 , helping the event go beyond the framework of a cultural festival to become an activity with profound social meaning.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism , the organization format along the streets and increasing interaction will be studied to make Vietnam Happy Fest an annual event, contributing to the strategy of building a national brand based on humanistic values and happiness. With the participation of many people, this year's opening ceremony is considered a positive first step, opening up expectations for a sustainable community event model, connecting urban cultural life with the positive and optimistic values of modern Vietnamese society.
