According to the news bulletin broadcast at 11:30 AM on May 29th, in the past 6 hours, many areas in Lam Dong recorded very heavy rainfall, such as Tien Thanh with 100.6mm, Ho Tra Tan with 83.8mm, and Duc Hanh with 60.4mm.
The meteorological agency said that soil moisture in some areas was near or at saturation, at 85% or higher.

Appendix: Map of flash flood and landslide risk in the areas
Over the next 3 to 6 hours, the Lam Dong province area will continue to experience rain with amounts generally ranging from 20 to 40mm, and in some places exceeding 70mm.
The risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides on slopes has been warned in many localities such as: Da Huoai, Di Linh, Don Duong, Duc Trong, Ham Tan, Ham Thuan Nam, Bao Loc, Phuoc Hoi, Quang Tan, Son My, Suoi Kiet, Tan Ha, Tan Lap, Tan Minh and Tan Phuc.
The National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting predicts that flash floods and landslides could have serious impacts on the environment, threaten people's lives, cause localized traffic congestion, and affect public infrastructure and socio- economic activities.
Authorities recommend that local governments review bottlenecks in water flow and vulnerable areas to proactively implement preventive and response measures.
