Ingredients: 150g pork belly, 100g beef, 50ml white wine, soy sauce, garlic, salt, cooking oil, pepper, sugar
- Preparing the ingredients: When you buy dried seaweed, soak it in water for about 20-30 minutes to allow it to expand and soften. Next, add a little coarse salt or vinegar and mix it with the seaweed to remove the fishy smell. Then, rinse the seaweed thoroughly, drain the water, and cut it into long strips about 5cm long; do not cut it too finely. Wash the beef and cut it into small pieces. Then, put the beef in a bowl and marinate it with soy sauce, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of white wine, mixing well to ensure the beef absorbs the seasoning evenly.
- Preparation: Peel and finely chop the garlic. Next, add cooking oil to a pot and place it over low heat. When the oil is hot, add the chopped garlic and sauté until fragrant. Then add the marinated beef and stir-fry until it is medium rare. Add the seaweed and stir-fry together. Stir well with chopsticks to allow the seaweed and beef to absorb the seasoning. Stir for about 10 minutes, then turn off the heat. Add enough water to the pot and bring to a boil. Then, add the stir-fried beef and seaweed to the boiling water to make soup. Note that you should add just the right amount of water to ensure the soup is flavorful and delicious. Season the soup again to taste. Once the soup boils, turn off the heat.
- To finish: To make the soup more flavorful and delicious, you can add a few thin slices of ginger and a little sesame oil to the pot. These strong-smelling spices can mask any remaining fishy taste of the seaweed. Moreover, the warmth of the ginger balances the cooling properties of the seaweed, preventing stomach upset.
