Police and people rescue 3 victims trapped in the cabin of a truck that crashed on Highway 1A

According to information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Phu Yen Province Police, after more than two hours of efforts to deploy rescue measures, at 1:45 a.m. this morning, August 25, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 8 of this unit rescued the victim trapped in the truck cabin to the outside and transferred him to Phu Yen General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Previously, at about 11:26 p.m. on August 24, Mr. Bui Chi Linh (born in 1994, residing in Cao Lanh ward, Dong Thap province), driving a heavy truck with license plate 63H-075.07 pulling a trailer with license plate 66RM-000.13 from a business store, backed out onto National Highway 1A in Chinh Nghia quarter, Binh Kien ward ( Dak Lak ), right at the moment when a refrigerated truck with license plate 49F-004.36 driven by Mr. Vo Thanh Tan (born in 1991, residing in Ninh Phuoc commune, Khanh Hoa province), was running on National Highway 1A in the North-South direction, and hit the front of the truck cabin with license plate 63H-075.07.

The accident caused the truck to overturn in a deep hole on the side of the road.

After the strong collision, the refrigerated truck overturned in a deep hole on the side of the road, the front of the cabin was dented and deformed, the driver Vo Thanh Tan and two people in the car, Huynh Van Duc (born in 1970, residing in Phan Rang ward, Khanh Hoa province) and Vo Thanh Tan (born in 2001, residing in Ninh Chu ward, Khanh Hoa province) were injured. The two victims were taken out by local people, the remaining person was trapped in the cabin.

Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Dak Lak Province Police urgently arrived at the scene that night.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 8 under the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police mobilized 2 specialized fire fighting and rescue vehicles and 13 officers and soldiers to urgently arrive at the scene and deploy a rescue plan.

Specialized cranes were mobilized to the scene to help rescue victims that night.

In the dark, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Dak Lak Province Police tried to rescue the third victim trapped inside the cabin of a refrigerated truck.

However, because the truck overturned in a location with many trees and obstacles, making the rescue work difficult, a specialized tow truck had to be mobilized to help the police rescue the remaining victim and take him out to Phu Yen General Hospital for emergency treatment. Fortunately, all three victims suffered minor injuries.
