According to observations by Dan Tri reporters, battery drain and overheating issues after updating to iOS 18.6 have appeared on many different devices, including the iPhone 16 series and older iPhone generations such as the iPhone 15, iPhone 14, etc.
"Some people say that after updating iOS, it will take about 2-3 days for the device to become more stable. However, it's been almost a week now, and my iPhone 15 Pro Max is still overheating even when not using heavy tasks," said Duc Thang about the iOS 18.6 bug.
According to Apple's support documentation, the iOS 18.6 operating system update will address dozens of critical security vulnerabilities on iPhones. Therefore, users are advised to install it immediately.

Specifically, iOS 18.6 will patch over 20 security vulnerabilities, including an issue with Accessibility that could cause VoiceOver to read passcode information aloud. Meanwhile, macOS Sequoia 15.6 fixes over 80 security vulnerabilities that could potentially damage devices or leak sensitive data.
Apple emphasizes that software updates are one of the most important measures to maintain the security of its products, and recommends that users update their devices to the latest software version to avoid risks from these security vulnerabilities.
