After the terrible defeat against Southeast Asian Stars on May 28 in Malaysia, Man Utd players are under great pressure when playing a friendly match with Hong Kong (China). This is the second and final friendly match of the "Red Devils" in Asia before the team's players enter the summer break.
Coach Amorim arranged a squad with up to 5 young players, however, with Fernandes, Casemiro, Garnacho and Hojlund in the squad, the away team still easily had a better game than the home team. In the 5th minute, Hong Kong's net shook after Casemiro's header but the goal was disallowed for offside.

The visitors created quite a few scoring chances in the first 15 minutes of the match, but failed to score. The surprise happened in the 19th minute when Juninho broke free to receive a pass from Wong Ho-Chun Anson. Defender Kukonki was slow to intervene, goalkeeper Heaton made a mistake when blocking the opponent's shot, those mistakes combined to help Hong Kong open the score.
The goal left Man Utd players stunned. In the second half of the first half, the visitors were still slightly better than the home team, but they no longer applied the same constant pressure as in the early stages of the match. Fernandes, Garnacho and Hojlund were all unable to score and the entire first-half squad had to leave the field after the break, including two players who came on in the 27th minute.
With a new formation in the second half, Man Utd continued to pressure the home team. In the 50th minute, young striker Obi quickly took the ball and finished at the edge of the penalty area, his shot into the left corner was good enough to defeat the home team and bring home the equalizer 1-1.

In addition to the defensive mistakes, wasting opportunities was also one of the reasons why Man Utd declined sharply last season. That continued to appear in this match when the away team's strikers continuously missed scoring opportunities. It was not until the 80th minute that Man Utd scored the goal to take the lead 2-1 when Obi headed accurately from Ugarte's cross.
The pressure was off to win, despite it being a friendly. Man Utd sealed a 3-1 win in stoppage time when young defender Heaven headed home Amad's well-placed cross.
