Chairman of Da Nang City Luong Nguyen Minh Triet was appointed as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

On the afternoon of September 6, at the Da Nang City Party Committee hall, the Politburo and Secretariat's decisions on personnel work were announced.

Attending the announcement ceremony were Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, head of the Central Organizing Committee.

Accordingly, the decision to appoint Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term was announced.

Mr. Triet was born in 1976, from Quang Nam province (old). He has a high level of political theory, professional qualifications: Master of Business Administration, silicate technology engineer.

Mr. Triet has held many positions at the Da Nang City Youth Union and later held the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union.

In 2013, he was Secretary of Lien Chieu District Party Committee (Da Nang).

He then successively held the positions of Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, Chief of Office of the Da Nang City Party Committee, and Secretary of the Hai Chau District Party Committee (Da Nang).

At the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee XXII, term 2020-2025, held in October 2020, he was elected as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.

In December 2020, Mr. Triet was elected Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City.

In January 2021, at the 13th National Congress of the Party, he was elected as an alternate member of the Party Central Committee.

In January 2024, he was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee.

In July 2025, when Quang Nam merged with Da Nang, Mr. Triet was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City (new).

Three days earlier, the Prime Minister also decided to accept and appoint Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate.
