Enjoy Korean cuisine right in the heart of Hoi An ancient town

(Dan Tri) - Thousands of tourists have the opportunity to enjoy the diverse cuisine of the "land of kimchi" right in the heart of Hoi An, Da Nang city.

On the evening of September 6, Song Hoai Square, Hoi An Ward, Da Nang City, was filled with colors and flavors with the Korean Food Festival in Hoi An 2025. This event is a cultural bridge, aiming to introduce and promote the quintessence of traditional Korean cuisine to a large number of tourists and local people.

The festival is organized under close coordination between the Ministry of Agriculture , Food and Rural Affairs of Korea, a number of Korean companies, along with the Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Conservation Center and the People's Committee of Hoi An ward.

Here, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy free typical dishes that make up the name of Korean cuisine such as kimbap, tteokbokki, kimchi, and many other products. In addition, the festival also offers interesting interactive activities with professional chefs and experiences with new products.

Not only stopping at cuisine, the festival is also a colorful art and entertainment party. Traditional Hoi An art performances are interspersed with Korean guitar and violin melodies, creating a unique cultural exchange space. Visitors can also join the check-in area, shop and receive meaningful souvenirs.

Mr. Cho Sungbae, Director of the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his hope that this event will help bring Korean cuisine closer to international tourists, especially Hoi An residents, while enhancing cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries in the culinary field.

Ms. Do Thu Thao, a tourist from Hanoi , excitedly shared: “I enjoyed tteokbokki, fish cakes and many other wonderful Korean foods at this festival. This is truly an interesting culinary and cultural experience right in the heart of Hoi An ancient town.”
