The Belgian Cultural and Gastronomic Festival is a vivid symbol of the friendly cooperation between the Kingdom of Belgium and Vietnam, between Belgian enterprises and Hai Phong city.

On the evening of October 24, at the Hai Phong City Convention and Performance Center, the Belgian Culture and Cuisine Festival 2025 (B. Fest 2025) officially opened.

Attending the event was Mr. Karl Van den Bossche, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam.

On the side of Hai Phong city, there was comrade Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City's National Assembly Delegation attending.

Also attending were comrades: Dao Trong Duc, Standing Committee member, Chief of the City Party Committee Office; Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

Also attending the festival were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, units; a large number of customers, partners of DEEP C Industrial Park Complex and people of the Port City.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung emphasized: In the process of construction and development, Hai Phong city always attaches importance to cultural values ​​and spiritual life of the people, because culture is the driving force and source of sustainable development.

In that flow, the Belgian Cultural and Culinary Festival has become a special highlight, contributing to enriching the cultural life of the city; at the same time, it is a vivid symbol of the friendly cooperation between the Kingdom of Belgium and Vietnam, as well as between Belgian enterprises and Hai Phong city in recent years.

According to the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, this year, the Festival is held in a new space - the area in front of the City Convention and Performance Center, marking a large-scale development and an opportunity to promote the new symbolic image of Hai Phong city after the merger of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city from July 1, 2025.

He highly appreciated the thorough investment and careful preparation of Deep C Management Company Limited - the unit authorized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Vietnam to carry out the event, along with the active coordination of departments, branches, sectors and related units in the city. At the same time, he thanked the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Vietnam for its attention, cooperation and trust in choosing Hai Phong city as the destination of the Belgian Cultural and Culinary Festival over the years.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee believes that during the Festival, delegates, tourists and people of the city will gather together, immerse themselves in a unique cultural space, enjoy the famous Belgian beer flavor and attractive Belgian-style dishes in the heart of the beautiful city of Hai Phong.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Vietnam Karl Van den Bossche expressed his delight at the development of the B.Fest event - from a small festival in 2019 to a vibrant annual activity, connecting cultures, communities and honoring the unique values ​​of Belgian beer.

Mr. Karl Van den Bossche said that Belgium and Hai Phong have many similarities as they both possess heritages recognized by UNESCO - Belgian beer is an "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity", and Cat Ba archipelago is a "World Natural Heritage".

This year, the festival introduces many unique Belgian beers, traditional cuisines and many performances by domestic and foreign artists, contributing to strengthening the cultural and economic cooperation between the Kingdom of Belgium and Hai Phong city.

B.Fest 2025 takes place from October 24 to 26 at the City Convention and Performance Center, introducing 20 famous craft beer brands from Belgium, a country recognized by UNESCO as an "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" in the field of fermentation.

Beers come in a variety of styles, from rich ales to refreshing lagers, giving drinkers a glimpse into Belgian culinary culture, where each flavour has its own story and tradition.

In addition, during the festival days, city residents and visitors will enjoy the music and light space, with artistic beer mixing bartender performances, and performances by famous artists such as Duong Hoang Yen, Anh Tu, DJ Funktastix, DJ Alexa and Dat Ozy.

A notable new feature at B.Fest 2025 is the application of a cashless payment system via electronic bracelets, helping visitors easily transact within the event premises. This model represents the trend of organizing modern festivals, aiming for convenience, transparency and safety. Along with that is a series of initiatives to recycle beer bottles and caps, encouraging visitors to draw, arrange and reuse materials in an environmentally friendly way. This is a new feature that shows the efforts of the Organizing Committee in moving towards a green - civilized - sustainable festival model.
