The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the prestige and position of Kaspersky Group, one of the world's leading enterprises in the field of cyber security, and expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation. At the same time, he affirmed that Vietnam always welcomes international technology corporations to cooperate, share experiences and transfer knowledge to jointly promote research, training and development of high-quality human resources to serve national digital transformation.

The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that global technology corporations such as Kaspersky would continue to accompany Vietnam not only in the field of security, but also in research, training and capacity building activities for domestic engineers and experts. According to the Deputy Minister, sharing knowledge, technology and international experience will contribute to helping Vietnam develop rapidly and sustainably in the digital age.

On Kaspersky's side, Mr. Eugene Kaspersky, Chairman and CEO of the Group, said that Kaspersky currently has about 40 offices worldwide with more than 5,000 employees, of which 2,500 are technical experts. Kaspersky focuses on developing cybersecurity products, technologies and services for individuals, businesses and critical infrastructures such as factories and power grids. Kaspersky plans to open a representative office in Ho Chi Minh City next week, opening a period of closer cooperation with Vietnamese agencies, organizations and universities.

Eugene Kaspersky, President and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, spoke at the meeting.

Eugene Kaspersky also shared that Kaspersky is stepping up research towards "cyber immunity", systems that are immune to cyber attacks without the need for additional security layers. In addition to research and development (R&D), Kaspersky also cooperates with law enforcement agencies and Interpol to support cybercrime investigations, while promoting education and raising public awareness about cybersecurity.

Kaspersky's leadership representative assessed Vietnam as a country with great potential in the field of science and technology, with strengths in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and a young, creative and hard-working workforce. The Vietnamese government has also identified cybersecurity as one of 11 national strategic technologies, creating favorable conditions for expanding long-term cooperation.

"From this foundation, we aim to soon establish an R&D center in Vietnam, initially in Ho Chi Minh City and expanding to Hanoi in the future – a city with many major universities and research institutes," Mr. Eugene Kaspersky emphasized.

In the field of training, Kaspersky representatives stated that the company currently collaborates with over 200 universities worldwide, implementing training programs, hackathons, and practical exercises on cybersecurity.

In Vietnam, Kaspersky has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the People's Security Academy and wishes to expand cooperation with other training institutions, including the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), to build a basic cybersecurity skills training program for engineering students, not just limited to the security major group.

Deputy Minister Bui The Duy highly appreciated these cooperation orientations and said that current cyber security threats are increasingly sophisticated, global and have no national boundaries. The Deputy Minister emphasized, "International cooperation is the key to helping Vietnam both learn from experience and develop high-quality human resources to serve digital transformation."

Deputy Minister Bui The Duy also stated that Kaspersky's expansion in Vietnam not only has commercial significance but also demonstrates the company's social responsibility in accompanying Vietnam in building a safe cyberspace, promoting innovation, and comprehensive digital transformation.
