Government leadership apparatus after restructuring in October 2025

The Government has two more deputy prime ministers, bringing the total to nine deputy prime ministers and three new ministerial personnel just approved by the National Assembly.

On October 24, at the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly , the National Assembly passed a resolution to add two Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term.

On the morning of October 25, the National Assembly held a secret ballot and then passed resolutions approving the appointment of Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, former Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, and Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra, former Minister of Home Affairs , as Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 term.

At the same time, the National Assembly also held a secret ballot and passed resolutions approving the appointment of Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs , as Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment, as Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Permanent Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, as Minister of Home Affairs.

After the restructuring, the Government leadership apparatus has 27 members, including the Prime Minister, 9 Deputy Prime Ministers, 17 ministers, and heads of ministerial-level agencies.
