The "Young Writers' Training Course 2025" attracted over 40 talented high school students with a passion for literature from various communes and wards in the province. The course is designed as an intellectual playground and an artistic "laboratory," where nascent ideas are honed under the guidance of reputable authors, artists, and critics. Instructors not only impart theoretical knowledge, skills, and writing experience, but also guide practical application, analyze and critique works, helping students to effectively guide their writing.

Writer Nguyen Hien Luong - Head of the Lao Cai Provincial Poetry Association, and lecturer of the Local Literature Specialization course, shared: “With the local literature specialization, we encourage students to explore the culture, history, and human stories happening right in the land where they live. Only when writing from the heart and with a deep understanding of their homeland will the work have vitality and touch the hearts of readers.”

For many students, the training course is an opportunity to hone their skills, transforming personal feelings into valuable works of art. Here, they are introduced to and practice profound professional techniques: from the art of character building and plot construction in prose, to the use of imagery, rhythm, and rhyme to touch the reader's emotions in poetry. Through the course, many works have been produced with good quality, natural and clear language, demonstrating keen observation skills and a deep love for their homeland and the people of Lao Cai. Although still taking hesitant and awkward steps as newcomers, through each page, it can be seen that literary and artistic creation is not only a passion but also a responsibility: to record memories, truthfully reflect human life, and preserve the distinctive cultural identity of the locality.

La Nha My, a student in class 12A1 at Yen Bai Ethnic Boarding High School in Lao Cai province, shared: “Previously, I had many feelings but didn't know how to turn them into a complete piece of writing. Through this class, I not only gained a deeper understanding of writing style and plot construction in prose, but also learned rhyming techniques and how to use imagery to compose poetry. Thanks to this, I feel more confident in expressing my voice, emotions, and perspective.”

One of the key factors contributing to the success of the 2025 Young Writers' Training Course is the close collaboration between the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations and the Yen Bai Ethnic Boarding High School.

According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Duc, Secretary of the School's Youth Union: "Having been chosen by the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts as the venue for the training course, the school has arranged classrooms and created the best conditions for students to fully participate in the specialized sessions. This is an effective collaboration, bringing double benefits to education and the development of culture and art in the school."

Over the years, the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts has organized numerous youth writing camps and creative writing training courses, thereby discovering and nurturing many young talents, helping them become regular contributors to the Literature and Arts Magazine, and many of whom later officially became members of the Association. The 2025 youth writing training course continues to inherit and promote this noble mission, affirming the Association's pioneering role in nurturing, training, and developing the next generation of artists, contributing to enriching the literary and artistic life of the province.

The class attracted a large number of talented young people, bringing with them enthusiasm and fresh perspectives on life. It provided an ideal environment for exchange, interaction, and a clearer understanding of the responsibility of artists in reflecting and shaping society. Regularly organizing these training activities has created a strong bridge, giving young talents the opportunity to express their passion and have their works featured in mainstream publications, helping these artistic "seeds" to flourish and contribute to the richness and diversity of the province's literature and arts.
