Khmer language training for An Giang Provincial Border Guard officers

On November 24, at Training - Mobile Battalion 1, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with Victory Foreign Language - Information Technology Center (Tra Vinh University) to organize the opening ceremony of the Khmer ethnic language training class for provincial Border Guard officers in 2025.

Attending the opening ceremony were Colonel Doan Dinh Tranh, Deputy Political Commissar of the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command; Master Phan Mai Bach, Deputy Director of Victory Foreign Language - Information Technology Center; 80 students who are officers and professional soldiers of agencies and units of the Provincial Border Guard.

The course takes place from November 24, 2025 to January 2, 2026. Students are equipped with listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Khmer; learn about the customs and practices of the Khmer ethnic group in the border area...

Organizing Khmer language training classes is a practical requirement to contribute to improving the qualifications, communication skills and mass mobilization capacity of border guards; thereby, enhancing the bond, understanding and consolidating the solidarity between the Border Guard and the Khmer ethnic people, as well as the Cambodian border protection force on the opposite side.
