On the morning of November 24, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a weekly meeting between the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ho Van Mung requested to innovate working methods to ensure tasks are completed more smoothly and promptly.
He commended the agencies, units, departments, branches and sectors in the province for their efforts in completing their tasks well in the past time, especially the coordination work to serve the Party and State delegations working in An Giang; implementing legal procedures for projects serving the APEC 2027 Conference, including procedures implemented for the first time; along with the operation of the two-level government model in the province.

However, from now until the end of 2025, the workload is still very large. The operation of the new model without the district level poses many new requirements and tasks for agencies and units. Therefore, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the heads of departments, branches, sectors and localities to uphold the sense of responsibility, be more proactive in performing tasks; develop specific plans, and not let the situation of "being reminded to do". The direction work must be associated with inspection, urging and removing difficulties. All tasks must have a clear progress from now until the end of the year and the leaders of the agencies must closely monitor this progress.
Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, assigned the Office of the People's Committee of the province to advise on documents requesting departments, branches and localities to send work schedules and publicize them on the electronic information portal. Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee of the province closely follow the branches and fields in charge, proactively grasp the situation, do not wait for subordinates to report; agencies and units must promptly report difficulties for the provincial leaders to consider and direct.

Mobilize, strengthen, and second 833 civil servants and public employees to the commune level
Director of An Giang Provincial Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Nhu Anh spoke at the meeting.
According to the Department of Home Affairs of An Giang province, implementing Plan No. 160/KH-UBND, dated October 23, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee on reviewing, arranging, assigning cadres, civil servants and mobilizing, seconding, and accepting them to work as civil servants to increase support for the authorities of communes, wards, and special zones in An Giang province; the province has mobilized, strengthened, and seconded 833 civil servants and public employees to the commune level.
Specifically, 68 civil servants and public employees were transferred from provincial departments and branches to the commune level; 32 people were transferred from one commune to another; 714 civil servants in public service units under the Department of Agriculture and Environment were transferred to the commune level; 19 civil servants and professional officials were transferred to Phu Quoc special zone to support and serve APEC in 2027.
As of November 16, 2025, the An Giang province administrative procedure settlement information system provided 2,172 public services; of which, there were 1,035 partially online public services and 1,040 fully online public services. The rate of early and on-time settlement of records reached 96.42%. |
