Representatives of many provinces, cities and agencies attended the conference.
On the afternoon of November 18, in Hai Phong, the Conference on cooperation and promotion of development links between the tourism service industry and the aviation industry took place, gathering city leaders, representatives of the aviation industry, and leaders of the Department of Tourism of key provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, along with many domestic and foreign travel businesses.
The conference was held in the context of Hai Phong having great tourism potential after expanding its administrative boundaries, possessing more national landscapes and strengthening deep connections with famous neighboring tourist destinations.

Many enthusiastic opinions contributed to the conference
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, emphasized that Action Program No. 05-CTr/TU correctly assessed the current situation of operations at Cat Bi International Airport, and at the same time directed that cooperation between Hai Phong tourism and aviation must take place in a practical and effective manner.
Hai Phong has a strategic geographical location, is the northern traffic hub with all types of transportation, especially Cat Bi International Airport. This airport is not only the economic and service center of the city but also has the advantage of connecting to Ha Long (Quang Ninh) and Hanoi Capital. Currently, Cat Bi has domestic and regional connecting flights, opening up a golden opportunity to expand international economic, cultural and tourism exchanges.
After a busy afternoon of work, the Conference agreed to clearly identify potentials, advantages and challenges, and at the same time determined key directions and solutions.
One of the most passionate opinions that received attention was that of Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong, representative of the UNESCO Travel Club in Hanoi. He emphasized that Hai Phong needs to concretize its development strategy to increase its attractiveness to tourists: "Hai Phong, with its existing tourism potential, needs to offer more attractive tourism services and products. The more specific the development strategy is, the more attractive it is to tourists. For example, a famous restaurant that offers a delicious and diverse menu is both promoting itself and being a natural destination so that tourists who have been there will want to come back."

Concluding the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Ministry of Sports, Culture and Tourism, highly appreciated Hai Phong's proactive and timely actions in synchronous coordination between localities, tourism, aviation and businesses.
He affirmed: The conference clearly identified the potential and development orientation of Hai Phong tourism - a diverse ecosystem, rich in space, with strengths in sea and islands, resorts and natural and cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO.
“The close coordination between the tourism and aviation industries not only opens up many new opportunities for Hai Phong, but also contributes to helping Vietnam tourism reach the target of 25 million international visitors by 2025 and affirm its position as a safe, friendly and attractive destination on the regional and world tourism map,” Mr. Khanh emphasized.
Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung, pledged that the city has reached a high consensus in strengthening coordination and expanding access to domestic and foreign tourist markets. The city is committed to creating all conditions for partners to coordinate to develop tourism in a professional and systematic manner, in line with the goal of "tourism as a driving force for socio-economic growth".
