Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics cooperates with Guangzhou province (China) to train on AI

VHO - From November 16-22, 2025, the Party Committee and Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Vietnam Institute for Green Transformation and Digital Transformation, organized a specialized training course on artificial intelligence (AI) for senior officials of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and leaders of ministries, branches and localities of Vietnam.

Associate Professor Dr. Duong Trung Y, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Mr. To Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Institute for Green Transformation and Digital Transformation Development, led a delegation of 60 students to attend the course.

Receiving the trainees, Secretary of the Guangxi Party Committee Tran Cuong affirmed that Guangxi is actively implementing the "Global AI Governance Initiative" proposed by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and promoting the development model of "research in Beijing - Shanghai - Guangzhou, integration in Guangxi and application in ASEAN", aiming to become the center of AI cooperation between China and ASEAN.

Organizing a specialized training course on AI is a specific activity to implement the common perception between the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries at the local level, continuing to deepen substantive cooperation on AI, trade and investment, humanities exchange and staff training...

Secretary of the Guangxi Regional Party Committee Tran Cuong hopes that this training course will be an opportunity to promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between ministries, branches and localities of Vietnam and Guangxi, strengthen friendship and mutual trust, and bring practical benefits to both sides.

On behalf of the delegation of students, Associate Professor Dr. Duong Trung Y, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, expressed his sincere thanks to the experts, lecturers, and the thoughtful preparation and warm hospitality of Guangxi, and highly appreciated the new opportunities that the economic and social development of China, including Guangxi, brings to Vietnam, especially the development of AI.

The training course is an opportunity for Vietnamese officials to learn more about China's experience in combining AI development and promoting economic development, deepening substantive cooperation with Guangxi in areas such as AI and personnel training.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Consul General Nguyen Thi Huong said that based on important common perceptions and the results achieved at the 2025 Spring Meeting between Secretaries of provinces and regions, Guangxi has successfully organized 5 AI training courses.

This 5th training course was organized after the success of 2 courses for leaders and officials of departments and branches of 5 border provinces and cities of Vietnam, 1 course specifically for leaders and officials of Cao Bang province and 1 specialized training course for leaders and officials working in the field of aquaculture.

The organization of an AI training course for senior officials of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and leaders of ministries, branches and localities of Vietnam once again demonstrates the goodwill and strong commitment of Guangxi and ministries, branches and localities of Vietnam in promoting more substantive and effective cooperation in various fields, especially in the field of AI.

AI training courses are not only practical activities that contribute to improving the capacity of cadres, but also a bridge to enhance understanding, strengthen the friendship and substantive cooperation between Guangxi and Vietnamese ministries, branches and localities, contributing to building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of strategic significance.
