Ha Tinh celebrates the 310th anniversary of the birth of Phan Kinh

VHO - The solemn ceremony took place in Truong Luu commune with the participation of provincial leaders and descendants of the family, commemorating the famous mandarin of the Le Trung Hung period and emphasizing the academic values, personality and ideology for the people that Phan Kinh left behind.

On the morning of November 25, in Truong Luu commune, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province held a ceremony to celebrate the 310th anniversary of the birth of Phan Kinh (1715 - 2025). Attending were Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Nguyet, Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Viet Truong, along with leaders of departments, branches and representatives of the family.

Phan Kinh, also known as Di Truc, and also known as Tinh Trai, was born on November 11, At Mui year (December 6, 1715) in Vinh Gia village, now Truong Luu commune. Since childhood, he was famous for his intelligence and studiousness. In Quy Hoi year 1743, he surpassed thousands of candidates nationwide to pass the First Class Doctorate exam and became the only Third Class Doctor of the exam.

In the officialdom, he held many positions such as Han Lam Vien Dai Che, Thanh Hoa Governor, Nghe An Governor, Tuyen Quang Governor, Hung Hoa Governor. In each place of work, he was recognized for his integrity and devotion to the people.

He was also an outstanding diplomat . During his diplomatic mission to the Qing Dynasty, Phan Kinh's talent and bravery were appreciated by Emperor Qianlong, who bestowed upon him the title "Two-Country Imperial Examination First Prize Winner".

The legacy he left behind was not only his profound knowledge but also his example of studiousness and exemplary character. In 1992, Phan Kinh Temple in Truong Luu was ranked as a National Historical and Cultural Relic; many streets and schools were named after him.

Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Viet Truong affirmed that commemorating Phan Kinh is an opportunity to pay tribute to the contributions of our ancestors, thereby spreading the values ​​of learning, virtue and spirit of serving the people. He emphasized: "In the context of deep integration, the lessons of flexible foreign affairs and maintaining independence and sovereignty of Phan Kinh continue to have important significance."

Representing the family, Mr. Phan Tinh expressed pride in the merits of his ancestors.

Within the framework of the celebration, the art program "Celebrating the 310th Anniversary of the Birth of Doctor Phan Kinh" was performed with Vi and Giam melodies, scenes recreating his life and career, and performances praising his hometown Truong Luu.

Previously, the delegation of Ha Tinh province came to offer incense and gifts to express their respect and gratitude to Phan Kinh - an outstanding son of his homeland - at Phan Kinh Temple, in Vinh Gia village, Truong Luu commune.
