Gia Lai: Warning of flash floods and landslides in vulnerable areas
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the direction and intensity of the storm will change in the coming days. However, the storm circulation and cold air can cause moderate to heavy rain in the area from Da Nang to Lam Dong, along with the consequences of heavy rains in the past few days, there is a very high risk of landslides, flash floods, and flooding of low-lying areas in this area.
Implementing the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 231/CD-TTg dated November 26; following Official Dispatch No. 20/CD-UBND dated November 24 and Official Dispatch No. 21/CD-UBND dated November 26, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Directors of departments and branches; Heads of relevant agencies and units and Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards to urgently deploy urgent measures to prevent, avoid and respond to storm No. 15 and floods caused by the storm, with the spirit of "worrying about the high prices, but not being happy".
In particular, closely monitor warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of storms; strictly manage the release of ships and boats; organize monitoring and complete counting of ships and boats operating in areas affected by the storm.
Timely notify vehicle owners and captains (including transport ships and tourist boats) of the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm to proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas; maintain communication to promptly handle any arising situations. Implement measures to ensure safety for vessels at the anchorage area.
The People's Committees of communes and wards continue to focus on overcoming the consequences; restoring production, business and stabilizing people's lives according to Official Dispatch No. 20/CD-UBND dated November 24.

Forces rush to overcome consequences of floods to respond to storm No. 15
Prepare response plans for storm No. 15; based on the storm's developments and the actual situation in the locality, decide to deploy necessary measures to ensure the safety of people's lives, especially on islands and coastal areas.
Timely organize evacuation and emergency relocation of residents from dangerous areas, especially rafts, aquaculture watchtowers and areas at risk of flash floods, landslides when strong winds and heavy rains are forecasted in the area.
Proactively arrange forces, vehicles, food and provisions in key and vulnerable areas according to the "4 on-the-spot" motto to deploy storm and flood response, rescue and relief work when bad situations occur.
Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 15, the Provincial Border Guard in coordination with localities has announced and called on about 5,450 ships with over 39,000 fishermen operating in the sea areas to take shelter, anchor at ports and operate near shore.
Khanh Hoa: Complete bringing boats to shelters and bringing people ashore before 6:00 p.m. on November 28.
Khanh Hoa Fisheries Exploitation Management Center said that on the afternoon of November 27, 3,365 fishing boats and watercraft of fishermen inside and outside the province had safely anchored to avoid storm No. 15.
The center has requested port management units to closely coordinate with border guards and local authorities to arrange for safe anchoring of vessels, ensure security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and fully count vehicles.
According to the sea ban order of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, from 7am on November 28, all boats, tourist boats, transport ships and fishing vessels must stop operating at sea. Bringing boats to shelters and bringing people ashore must be completed before 6pm the same day.
On the afternoon of November 27, the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch requesting departments, branches, sectors and localities to proactively deploy measures to respond to storm No. 15. It emphasized the urgent need to overcome the consequences of previous floods and rains; and called on ships still operating at sea to quickly move to safe shelters.
The provincial Border Guard was assigned to step up calls and guidance for boats and aquaculture cages to anchor safely; localities to review and prepare plans to evacuate people in dangerous areas, including forced evacuation when necessary.
The Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police proactively mobilized vehicles and forces to support the evacuation of people and rescue. Reservoir management units were required to operate and regulate appropriately, lowering the water level to catch floods, ensuring the safety of works and downstream areas.
Meteorological agencies, press and media should increase updates and timely warnings about storm and flood developments so that people can proactively take precautions.
