Accordingly, from November 15 to 22, Gia Lai province experienced prolonged heavy rains, causing widespread flooding, landslides, traffic disruption, and particularly serious damage to people, property, infrastructure, and people's lives. In addition, a tropical depression (TLD) is currently operating in the sea east of the Philippines, moving west-northwest at a speed of 20km/h, expected to enter the sea southeast of the central East Sea, heading towards the central region and likely to strengthen into a storm.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial Border Guard Command, and the People's Committees of coastal communes and wards to closely monitor the warning bulletins, forecasts and developments of tropical depressions that are likely to strengthen into storms; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.
The People's Committees of communes and wards focus on mobilizing maximum forces and means to urgently collect and handle fallen trees, garbage, mud; clean up residential areas, schools, medical stations, markets and public areas. At the same time, temporarily repair damaged roads, quickly restore essential services, ensure traffic and daily life of the people. Proactively propagate disease prevention measures after floods; mobilize people to clean up houses, barns, and grounds and mobilize organizations to support disadvantaged households, the elderly, and the lonely; to be completed before November 30.
Propaganda and mobilization, calling on people, grassroots organizations and residential groups/villages to actively participate and coordinate with forces in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters. Enhance the sense of community responsibility, avoid indifference, waiting, and leaving it to the authorities to overcome and handle the damage.
Urgently organize the repair of the Luat Le and Van Hoi dykes in Tuy Phuoc commune and irrigation works damaged by storms and rains; ensure safety for upcoming storms and rains and serve agricultural production in the 2025-2026 crop season. Organize and fully implement support policies of the Central and the province for people affected by natural disasters.

Military forces are taking advantage of every hour and minute to build up the dike system and landslide areas to limit damage when the flood returns.
Urgently distribute central rice support to people, to be completed before November 26. Arrange temporary accommodation; mobilize forces to support people in repairing houses, to be completed before November 28; rebuild and resettle households whose houses have collapsed, washed away, or are severely damaged, to be completed before January 31, 2026. Urgently review and fully and accurately count the damage and support needs (immediate and long-term) in accordance with regulations, and send a report to the Department of Agriculture and Environment before November 27. The Chairman of the Commune People's Committee is fully responsible for the data, records, and content of the local reports and proposals.
