Bao Ngoc's climate change project gets attention ahead of Miss World

Ahead of the 73rd Miss World, Miss Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc's climate change project has received attention from the Miss World organization and is being introduced to an international audience.

On the official Fanpage and website, the Miss World organization posted an article about the Vietnamese representative - Miss Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc with the title "Reigning Miss World Vietnam Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc Champions Youth Climate Action at Vietnam Green Day 2025".

In particular, Miss World introduced Vietnam Green Day 2025, one of the largest environmental events in the country attracting more than 20,000 attendees. “Ready to represent Vietnam at the 73rd Miss World pageant in 2026, Bao Ngoc has conveyed a strong message of climate responsibility, youth empowerment and sustainable lifestyle, and called on the next generation to take a leading role in protecting the planet” - Miss World's post said.

Vietnam Green Day 2025 is an event in the GenZero project series founded by Bao Ngoc. Here, she delivered an emotional speech, emphasizing the importance of empowering the young generation and cultivating a sustainable lifestyle: “Loving nature is not only a responsibility, but also the essence of life. The existence of the planet is our own existence.”

This is also one of the few articles about the Asian contestant of the 73rd season to date that has appeared on the official Miss World platform, showing that the organizers are paying attention to the Vietnamese representative and her journey of spreading humanistic values. “With a clear vision for a greener future, Miss World Vietnam shows that “Beauty with a Purpose” starts with action, and that action must start now,” the Miss World organization encouraged.

In addition, the Miss World organization also introduced the beauty queen as the founder of Gen Zero - a non-profit project to promote youth participation in the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, especially Goal 13 - Climate Action.

Within the framework of the project, she and Gen Zero collaborated with Conservation Vietnam to organize the workshop “Youth for Climate Action and Biodiversity Conservation”, attracting thousands of young people to participate. In addition, Gen Zero also brought a green interactive booth where young people learned about sustainable consumption, climate adaptation and explored creative initiatives for a green future.

Standing out in the journey to realize the Beauty with a Purpose project, Bao Ngoc and Gen Zero are also the organizers and she is the keynote speaker of the Vietnam Youth Sustainability Summit 2025 with the theme "The future climate starts with you".

The event brought together experts, young activists and delegates from many domestic and foreign organizations, aiming to promote the role of youth in the sustainable development process. In particular, the conference brought a unique highlight with the United Nations Climate Change Conference Simulation Competition - Mock COP 2025, where young people transformed into international negotiators, reporters and observers, experiencing the authentic atmosphere of global climate discussions and negotiations.

The conference is part of a key initiative called “Vietnam Youth Climate Action Empowerment Roadmap (VYCEP)”, which is the project that Miss Bao Ngoc will bring to the 73rd Miss World in the Beauty with A Purpose competition.

Sharing about her journey, Bao Ngoc confided: "I want to bring to Miss World the image of a Vietnam that is not only beautiful, but also humane, sustainable and responsible to the world."

Not only outstanding with community projects, Bao Ngoc is also recognized with a series of achievements domestically. She is the owner of the 2025 Youth Living Beautifully Award, the 2024 National Volunteer Award, and many city-level certificates of merit for her positive contributions to association work and environmental protection. She is currently highly focused on her journey to conquer the 73rd Miss World crown, taking place next year.
