The contest was launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, implemented by the Vietnam Women's Newspaper in collaboration with the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund ( Ministry of Health ). With the goal of innovating communication methods, the contest uses the form of dance - folk dance to convey information in a lively, accessible and highly contagious way.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong - Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union said: "The contest continues to affirm the role of the Union at all levels and female cadres and members in protecting family and community health. With the strength of ingenuity, creativity and community spirit, local women's union members have expressed many unique ideas, from familiar folk dances adapted to modern folk dance movements with a youthful and dynamic spirit. The entries not only convey the message of preventing the harmful effects of tobacco, but also encourage sports , improve health and build a healthy lifestyle."
Notably, the application of digital platforms to promote and disseminate the entries has created a positive effect on social networks with more than 15 million followers and shares of the video clips. This has created conditions for each citizen to become an “ambassador” to spread a positive lifestyle, contributing to raising social awareness of the harmful effects of traditional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, heated tobacco products and the risks of passive smoking.
MSc. Dr. Phan Thi Hai - Deputy Director of the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund, Ministry of Health, said: In recent times, the Tobacco Harm Prevention Fund has coordinated with the Vietnam Women's Union to implement many practical models and activities, notably the models "Smoke-free home", "Smoke-free family" and "Women's club with non-smoking relatives". These are sustainable models, starting from the family - the cell of society - to reduce exposure to tobacco smoke, protect the health of women and children, and gradually change the behavior of the community.

Among nearly 50 submitted works, the Organizing Committee selected 30 best works that clearly expressed the message "Healthy Living - Green Living - No Smoking" for the Final Round. The jury selected 01 First Prize worth 10 million VND; 03 Second Prizes worth 8 million VND/prize, 06 Third Prizes worth 6 million VND/prize and 10 Encouragement Prizes, each worth 4 million VND.
The special feature of this year's contest lies in the scoring mechanism that combines expertise and community interaction. The published works will be scored based on the effectiveness of interactions, including likes, shares, comments, in addition to the evaluation from the Professional Council. This mechanism helps increase the spread on social networks and encourages people to actively participate in sharing messages to prevent and combat the harmful effects of tobacco.
The 2025 competition continues to affirm the role of women in protecting family and community health. With the strength of ingenuity, creativity and community spirit, local women's union members have expressed many unique ideas, from familiar folk dances adapted to modern movements with a youthful, dynamic spirit. The works not only convey the message of preventing the harmful effects of tobacco, but also encourage sports, improve health and build a healthy lifestyle.
Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to continue promoting the mass cultural and sports movement, creating a useful and healthy playground for women and the community. This is also an opportunity to recognize and honor the initiatives and effective communication models of the Association at all levels in implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms, towards the goal of building a smoke-free living environment, for a sustainable development future.
