Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong delivered the closing speech of the Festival.
The 2025 National Tuong and Folk Opera Festival is a regular activity organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aiming to arouse the love and passion for art of artists, and at the same time discover new creations in artistic work, thereby finding solutions and methods of operation suitable to the functions and tasks of each art unit, aiming to build and develop Tuong and Folk Opera stage art, contributing to building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity.
Taking place from November 17 to 26, the 2025 National Tuong and Folk Song Festival has 11 art units with 14 plays (including 8 Tuong plays, 6 Folk Song plays of various genres) with rich and diverse themes, helping the audience understand and love Tuong and Folk Song theater more in the period of entering a new era.

People's Artist Le Tien Tho delivered a speech summarizing and evaluating the Festival.
In his summary assessment of the Festival, People's Artist Le Tien Tho, Head of the Jury, said that the 14 plays in the Festival, whether in Tuong or Folk art, the artists all relied on the basic principles of the art form to promote and express the character's image well, maintain the artistic identity, and implement the established award regulations.
In the coming time, to improve the quality and promote the values of Tuong and Folk Art to serve the people's need for art enjoyment, on behalf of the National Tuong and Folk Art Festival Art Council, People's Artist Le Tien Tho proposed to improve and enhance the quality of art and organize a Workshop after the Festival.

Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong awarded first prize to two winning works.
Accordingly, in order to improve the quality of art, People's Artist Le Tien Tho suggested that there should be a specific plan and notification to units to prepare scripts, directors, and creative teams. Avoid the situation where an author, director, or creative team has many works in the Festival, which reduces the artistic quality. The Department of Performing Arts should organize a delegation of artists to watch and give comments before the unit participates in the Festival. Units with poor artistic quality will not be invited to participate in the Festival.
In addition, according to People's Artist Le Tien Tho, after the Festival, there were many suggestions that the Department of Performing Arts coordinate with relevant agencies to organize a workshop to evaluate the quality of art, contribute ideas to amend the Organizing Regulations, Award Regulations, and the Art Council to limit shortcomings in the Festival, and find solutions to further improve the quality of art.

Second prize awarded to 3 winning works
In his closing speech, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong highly appreciated the spirit of cooperation, experience sharing and mutual learning among art units across the country. In addition to its artistic value, the Festival also creates an environment for professional exchange, expands creative space and contributes to nurturing the next generation - those who will continue to shoulder the mission of preserving and promoting the art of Tuong and Folk Opera in the future.
"Although it has ended, the values that the Festival brings will certainly continue to spread in the country's artistic life. This is also an opportunity for us to clearly recognize our responsibility in preserving and promoting national cultural heritage. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to direct the development of appropriate mechanisms and policies, creating conditions for the creative environment to develop; focusing on improving the quality of works, consolidating performing human resources and enhancing communication and promotion so that Tuong and Folk Opera can reach the modern public. This is not only the task of theaters and artists but also the common responsibility of the entire industry in preserving and promoting the core values of Vietnamese culture" - Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized.
The Organizing Committee awarded the actors and awarded the collective and individual awards for achievements.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to synchronously deploy solutions to promote the value of traditional art forms, including Tuong and Folk Opera; at the same time, encourage art units to boldly innovate their approaches, increase the application of science and technology, expand the audience and improve the lives of artists. The success of this year's Festival is an important premise for us to continue to build a more favorable and effective creative environment in the coming time.
