The Provincial Women's Union presented more than 10,000 gifts to people in flood-affected areas.

Faced with severe damage caused by floods, the Dak Lak Provincial Women's Union (DWU) quickly deployed emergency relief activities and supported the restoration of life for people in flood-affected areas.

Accordingly, the Provincial Women's Union has actively called on cadres, members, women and organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to join hands in contributing. Immediately after receiving the gifts, they were classified, packaged and quickly transported to the eastern areas of the province as soon as possible, providing timely assistance to people in difficult conditions.

Up to now, the Association has mobilized and presented more than 10,000 gifts, with a total estimated conversion value of about 700 million VND, concentrated in the communes of Hoa Thinh, Hoa My, Phu Hoa 1, Tay Hoa, Dong Hoa, Hoa Xuan, Duc Binh.

The relief gifts include a variety of essential necessities such as: rice, vermicelli, banh chung, bread, milk, mineral water, dry food, essential oil... along with important household items, especially feminine hygiene products, diapers, and clothes of all kinds.

Volunteers participate in packing and transporting gifts at the Provincial Women's Union headquarters.

In parallel with mobilizing support for the Eastern localities, the Association also actively implemented support activities for the Western communes affected by floods according to emulation clusters and neighboring units.

In addition to emergency relief, local women's union members are actively participating in environmental sanitation, disinfection, and health care for women and children after the flood.

In the coming time, the Association will coordinate with all levels and sectors to focus on restoring life and production after natural disasters; supporting women's households severely affected by storms and floods to repair damaged houses and blown-off roofs (priority will be given to women's households belonging to policy families, poor, single-parent, disadvantaged and vulnerable households); mobilizing capital sources and supporting livelihood models to help women members quickly stabilize their lives and re-establish production and business activities.

The activities of the Provincial Women's Union are not only material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, affirming the role of the Union in social security work, helping people in flood-affected areas quickly overcome difficulties and rebuild their lives.
