Hoa Tri Commune proactively responds to storm No. 15

On the morning of November 26, leaders of Hoa Tri Commune People's Committee inspected key locations and directed the implementation of response measures to the development of storm No. 15. From early morning, the commune's forces coordinated with the villages to urgently prune fragile trees, brace schools, and use plastic bags to protect audio-visual equipment at the schools. The village forces also organized to go to each household to propagate and instruct on how to reinforce houses to prevent storms.

Previously, Hoa Tri commune had issued an official dispatch to deploy telegrams on overcoming the consequences of floods and proactively responding to storm No. 15. The commune directed departments, branches, units, villages, branches, and affiliated party committees to closely monitor warning bulletins and forecast the developments of storm No. 15; continuously announce on the radio system and media so that people can promptly grasp and proactively take preventive measures, ensuring the safety of life and property. Hotline numbers are maintained 24/24 hours to immediately handle arising situations.

Hoa Tri Commune mobilized cleaning vehicles and was ready to respond in case of storm landfall.

The Commune People's Committee requested to develop a response plan that is close to reality; prepare forces and means according to the "4 on-site" principle to carry out rescue when necessary. The Front and socio- political organizations of the commune also arranged forces to closely coordinate with local authorities, especially mobilizing union members and youth to support disadvantaged households and single-parent families in riverside areas, streams, low-lying areas... ready to take them to safe shelters. In addition, mobile forces were assigned to be on duty 24/7 at vulnerable points with high risk of flooding.

The Standing Committee members and Party Committee members in charge of the village are required to stay close to the area, directly direct the response work; and take responsibility for any negligence or subjectivity in the process of implementing the task. Currently, agencies and units in the commune are urgently implementing the instructions, preparing conditions, and proactively responding to natural disasters.
