Ninh Hai Commune proactively responds to storm No. 15

Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 15 and the forecast of prolonged heavy rains seriously affecting people's lives and production, Ninh Hai commune has proactively and synchronously deployed response measures.

Mobilize forces to reinforce vulnerable areas.

The commune focused on checking vulnerable areas, points at risk of landslides and deep flooding; checking the safety of houses, civil works, drainage systems and people's property. At the same time, reinforcing key locations, fully preparing response plans for each situation. The Commune Military Command and militia were mobilized to transport sandbags, erect temporary barriers, reinforce embankments and drainage culverts to minimize damage when the storm made landfall.

The commune leaders requested the Commune Military Command, departments, branches, organizations, schools, Ninh Chu Fishing Port and villages to immediately deploy assigned tasks; organize 24/7 duty, arrange rescue forces ready when situations arise. At the same time, they requested units to regularly update forecasts, guide people to proactively reinforce houses, protect property, prepare necessities and be ready to evacuate people when notified, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
