245 projects inaugurated or commenced: Comprehensively addressing infrastructure issues.

245 projects and works in various fields are expected to be simultaneously launched and inaugurated nationwide on December 19th, commemorating the 79th anniversary of the national resistance war and looking forward to welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

These include 78 key projects in road, rail, and aviation transportation.

These projects are of great significance as our country strives to achieve sustainable socio -economic development goals, contributing to building the nation's position in the new era.

According to the Ministry of Construction , as of December 8th, 245 projects and works in 34 provinces and cities were eligible for commencement and inauguration, with a total investment of over 1.34 trillion VND. These projects and works mainly belong to the fields of urban transport infrastructure, engineering, healthcare, culture, education, housing, and environment.

These are all large-scale projects that play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of each locality in particular and the country as a whole.

In the transportation sector alone, 78 construction projects are planned to be started or inaugurated during this period. It is expected that by December 19th, the whole country will have completed 3,188 km of main expressways and 1,700 km of coastal roads.

Many Hanoi residents expressed their admiration for the progress of major construction projects and their joy at the upcoming projects that will soon be put into use:

Mr. Than Duc Viet, General Director of May 10 Corporation, shared that the commencement and inauguration of new projects always bring great joy and expectations. The 245 projects and constructions to be inaugurated or commenced in the near future are all important projects with strategic significance for the entire country and each locality, especially for the business community.

"The expansion of highways, seaports, and airports in more than 200 major projects is very welcome news for the business community, creating connections and facilitating trade, helping to reduce transportation time and costs, and elevating Vietnam's logistics system."

According to Mr. Dao Trong Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Logistics Association, December 19th is a significant milestone for projects that contribute to completing infrastructure, creating new development spaces for regions and economic corridors, and especially addressing the long-standing "bottleneck" of logistics costs.

"This is the foundation for logistics and supply chain businesses to enhance their competitiveness. When infrastructure is improved, transit times are reduced, and reliability increases, businesses have the conditions to expand services, adopt multimodal transport models, reduce emissions, and promote green and modern logistics."

It is expected that by December 19th, the whole country will have completed 3,188 km of main expressways and 1,700 km of coastal roads.

According to many experts, the commencement of numerous key transportation projects and infrastructure works across the country on December 19th holds special significance for the economy.

Professor Mac Quoc Anh, Director of the Institute of Economics and Business Development, assessed that these key projects will help restructure the national development space, strengthen regional connectivity, and reduce many costs for businesses.

Simultaneously, it creates new opportunities for exports, investment, and innovation, ushering in an era where transportation and urban infrastructure meet international standards, contributing to the goal of Vietnam becoming a developed and high-income country by 2045.

"Strategically, this will reduce logistics costs by 20-30%, increase the competitiveness of manufacturing, processing, and exporting businesses, facilitate the expansion of agricultural value chains and supporting industries, and potentially attract more FDI in clusters in the future, increase regional connectivity, and form new growth poles."

The commencement and inauguration of these projects on December 19th, especially those already inaugurated, are the result of the extraordinary efforts of the Government, ministries, and localities throughout the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Dang Huy Dong, former Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, assessed: "Those figures speak for themselves; it's a miracle of the term, putting Vietnam on the launching pad to enter a truly new era of growth. The completed projects and those planned for completion and approved further confirm this assessment."

With 245 projects and constructions scheduled to commence or be inaugurated on December 19th, many people and businesses expect these to create long-term growth momentum, promote business development, spread social welfare, cultural and environmental values, and improve the lives of the people.
