Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Bui Thanh An - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and leaders of various departments and agencies.
Representing Thien Nang Group were Mr. Truong Thien Nhiem and other senior leaders. Also present were Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank ( BIDV ); and Mr. Hoang Van Duong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hoang Thinh Dat Joint Stock Company - the investor of Hoang Mai II Industrial Park.
The high-performance battery manufacturing project of Thien Nang Vietnam Group Co., Ltd. was granted an Investment Registration Certificate by the Management Board of the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone on December 31, 2024.
This is a factory specializing in the production of high-performance batteries for electric motorcycles and industrial energy storage, with a capacity of 93,000 products per year. Located in Hoang Mai II Industrial Park, it covers an area of over 11 hectares, with a total investment of 39.2 million USD.
Thanks to the investor's determination and the continuous support in procedures, land clearance, infrastructure, and problem resolution from the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board and relevant departments and agencies, the project has completed construction, equipment installation, acceptance testing, and officially commenced operations.
At the ceremony, provincial leaders, representatives from Thien Nang Group, and other delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ritual to inaugurate and start the factory.
On behalf of the provincial leadership, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Bui Thanh An, delivered a congratulatory speech to Thien Nang Group; expressing sincere gratitude to the investor for trusting and choosing Nghe An province as an investment destination; and especially appreciating the sincere feelings of the Group's leadership, particularly the consistency and perseverance of Chairman Truong Thien Nhiem, towards Nghe An province, as well as in the project implementation process.
Comrade Bui Thanh An affirmed that the event not only marks an important development of the project but also serves as proof of the strong cooperative relationship between Nghe An province and foreign investors, aiming to develop high-tech industries, contributing to upgrading industrial production capacity and creating many high-quality job opportunities for the locality.
Simultaneously, it promotes the development of a supporting industrial ecosystem, enhances the province's industrial production capacity, makes a positive contribution to economic growth, and creates momentum for the province to achieve its goals of rapid and sustainable development.
Particularly in the current global context, where there is a strong trend towards reducing carbon emissions, aiming for sustainable development and environmental protection, the project is of immense significance in the transition from using fossil fuels to green and renewable energy sources; while also promoting the development of energy storage technologies and zero-emission transportation.
With the motto of prioritizing the trust and satisfaction of businesses as the core objective to promote economic development, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province has assigned several tasks to relevant departments, localities, and functional units to ensure the project operates smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably.
For investors, he requested full compliance with regulations on environmental protection, fire prevention and control, labor safety, and public order; emphasizing human resource training, caring for the lives of workers, and ensuring a safe working environment.
The provincial leaders also encouraged Thien Nang to promote the transfer of advanced technology, support on-site human resource training, increase the localization rate in products, and cooperate extensively with businesses in the province to form a sustainable supply chain; while also researching expanding investment in energy and high-tech fields in Nghe An.
Appreciating the efforts of Hoang Thinh Dat Joint Stock Company in developing industrial park infrastructure and attracting investment, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province requested that the enterprise ensure the stable provision of services to the factory; promptly report any difficulties for support and resolution; and at the same time, accelerate the completion of the service ecosystem around the industrial park, meeting the needs of experts, workers and residents in the area.
“Nghe An province is committed to always accompanying and creating the most favorable conditions for the factory to operate efficiently, stably, and develop sustainably. We believe that Thien Nang Group will continue to expand its production scale, transfer advanced technology, and contribute to promoting the province's green and sustainable development goals,” affirmed Comrade Bui Thanh An.
