Pepper prices fell sharply at the end of the week.

(GLO) - Today (December 13), domestic coffee and pepper prices both decreased. Pepper prices fell sharply by 2,000 VND/kg, while coffee prices decreased slightly by 600-800 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pepper in Gia Lai is currently being purchased at 143,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 2,000 VND/kg. Similarly, pepper in Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and Ho Chi Minh City is being purchased at 145,000 VND/kg, with a similar decrease.

Today's pepper price in Dong Nai is trading at 145,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 1,000 VND/kg.

For coffee, today's market saw a slight decrease of 800 VND/kg in Dak Lak and Lam Dong, bringing the trading price to 101,000 VND/kg and 101,200 VND/kg respectively.

In Gia Lai, coffee prices fell further by 600 VND/kg, to 100,700 VND/kg.

On the world market, Robusta and Arabica coffee prices fluctuated in opposite directions. Pepper prices also followed a similar trend, decreasing. Overall last week, Vietnam's export prices for black pepper remained stable; export prices for white pepper decreased compared to the previous week.
