Nha Trang reclaims Sailing Club restaurant land blocking the sea

On October 25, the People's Committee of Nha Trang Ward (Khanh Hoa Province) announced that it had notified Nha Trang Sailing Club Joint Venture Company Limited about the revocation of more than 2,369 square meters of land currently being used by the enterprise on the east side of Tran Phu Street.

According to the announcement, the aforementioned land area belongs to plot number 193, map sheet number 104, located east of Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward. It is being reclaimed because it was allocated or leased by the State for a limited period but the land use rights were not extended, as stipulated in the 2024 Land Law.

Local authorities require the investor to dispose of assets attached to the land and fulfill all financial obligations as stipulated throughout the process in order to hand over the land to the State. According to regulations, the investor has 24 months from the date of land lease expiration to dismantle and remove assets on the land.

According to our reporter's observations, the land is currently being used by Nha Trang Sailing Club Joint Venture Company Limited for restaurant business. The beach area adjacent to the Sailing Club Nha Trang restaurant has umbrellas, tables, and chairs set up as a bar to serve customers.
