On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, at the Exhibition House No. 45 Trang Tien, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi, the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) held the Opening Ceremony of Vietnam Agricultural Products Week 2025, within the framework of the program to summarize 5 years of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" for the period 2021 - 2025.

The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central organizations; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade ; Mr. Marcos Antonio Bednarski, Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Vietnam and representatives of the Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Agriculture and Environment of 34 provinces and cities; industry associations, manufacturing enterprises and a number of large distribution systems in Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Agricultural Products Week 2025, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long said: "Recently, in response to the campaign 'Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods', the Ministry of Industry and Trade has made efforts to coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , relevant ministries, branches and units to implement many activities to promote the consumption of agricultural products in domestic markets, creating opportunities for people to access high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products."

The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Vietnam Agricultural Products Week 2025 program is implemented with the aim of promoting and introducing typical agricultural products and regional specialties that meet quality standards to domestic and international consumers. Thereby, contributing to enhancing the value and competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products in the market, connecting supply and demand, creating more favorable conditions for cooperatives and enterprises to have the opportunity to access modern distribution systems, export enterprises, promoting the consumption of agricultural products in an effective and sustainable manner.

The program also supports localities and businesses in building brands and expanding markets for agricultural products. At the same time, it enhances the recognition of Vietnamese agricultural products associated with quality, food safety and traceability.

“In particular, the program will have many attractive sideline events and activities such as: Opening the Digital Map of Vietnamese Agricultural Products, the largest auction in Vietnam, launching a cashless digital payment program, livestreaming sales of Vietnamese agricultural products...”, Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Long said.

The Department of Domestic Market Management and Development said that the 2025 Vietnamese Agricultural Products Week is an opportunity for localities to introduce and promote typical agricultural products, contributing to connecting supply and demand, promoting the consumption of Vietnamese goods and affirming the Vietnamese agricultural product brand in the market. Here, hundreds of unique agricultural products are introduced, creating a diverse and attractive display space, attracting a large number of people and tourists. The display area is arranged into 05 areas according to geographical regions.

Many products have affirmed their brands in the market such as Thai Nguyen tea, Hoa Binh oranges, Buon Ma Thuot coffee, Tay Nguyen honey, ST25 rice, and many other typical regional products. The display space contributes to promoting the image of Vietnamese agricultural products and promoting the connection between supply and demand.

The highlight of the program is the launching ceremony of the "Agricultural Products Map", an initiative developed by the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development. According to the plan, in the first phase, the Vietnam Agricultural Products Map will introduce a number of typical agricultural products of each province and city, representing the advantages, identity and economic values ​​of the locality. The product list is proposed by localities, on the basis of ensuring criteria on quality, reputation and regional representation. This approach helps to reflect the diverse and rich picture of Vietnamese agricultural products, while creating a foundation for expanding and perfecting the database in the next phases.

This initial selection is not only to introduce typical products with the unique characteristics of each locality, but also to create a foundation for the process of completing and expanding national agricultural product data in the coming time. Thereby, aiming to build a unified, updated and transparent database of Vietnamese agricultural products connecting farmers, businesses with consumers, effectively serving the management, trade promotion and promotion of the image of Vietnamese agricultural products in both domestic and international markets.

The special highlight of the program was that the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development supported and connected Duong Yen Cooperative - one of the largest sturgeon farms in Lai Chau province to successfully introduce and consume a 50 kg sturgeon, considered a "record" among local fish farms. This success not only created a strong impression at the event but also affirmed the quality and brand of Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products in the market.

Green payment: Convenient and safe for people and businesses

In the context of digital transformation taking place strongly around the world, cashless payment or green payment has become an indispensable part of modern life. This is not only a habit, but also an essential need in a civilized, modern society. Green payment contributes to promoting economic development, while creating a transparent, convenient and safe transaction environment for people and businesses .

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh, General Director of Vietnam National Payment Joint Stock Company (NAPAS) shared: "As the national retail payment infrastructure operator, over the past 20 years, NAPAS has continuously made efforts to deploy a variety of modern, safe and accessible payment methods. Payment products and services jointly deployed by NAPAS have become familiar to millions of Vietnamese people, penetrating every corner of life, helping people easily make payments everywhere, from supermarkets, convenience stores to traditional markets".

The General Director of NAPAS also said that the payment method by scanning VietQR code is increasingly popular thanks to its fast speed, convenience and high safety. This is a clear demonstration of the strong transformation of the Vietnamese payment ecosystem, towards modernity and user-friendliness.

“On that basis, NAPAS continues to deploy VIETQRPay and VietQR Global payment services - solutions to support domestic retail payments and cross-border payments, helping to connect consumers, businesses and international tourists. With VIETQRPay and VietQR Global, we aim to build an open, comprehensive payment ecosystem, connecting multiple platforms from traditional points of sale to e-commerce, from domestic to cross-border transactions,” said Mr. Nguyen Quang Minh.

Vietnam Agricultural Week 2025 is not only an occasion to honor the value and promote the brand of Vietnamese agricultural products, but also an activity to concretize the policy of developing the domestic market associated with digital transformation and sustainable development. The event creates a forum connecting state management agencies, local authorities, businesses and consumers, contributing to the formation of a transparent and modern supply chain, promoting the consumption of Vietnamese goods and realizing the goal of "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

Continuing the activities within the framework of the Vietnam Agricultural Products Week 2025, on the morning of October 25, a livestream program introducing Vietnamese agricultural products with the participation of People's Artist Tu Long, MC Mai Phuong and other artists and KOLs was broadcast live on the Tiktok Hello Vietnam channel.

During the broadcast, ST25 rice, symbolizing the quality and prestige of Vietnamese agricultural products, was the highlight product, introduced at a preferential price, demonstrating the effort to bring Vietnamese products closer to consumers. The activity is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere, contributing to promoting and connecting the consumption of Vietnamese agricultural products, while affirming a new direction in applying digital platforms to promote domestic trade.
