U.23 Vietnam will not share the field with Indonesia

According to the latest announcement from the SEA Games 33 men's football organizing committee, the venue for the matches in Group C will be adjusted from the 700th Anniversary Stadium to Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok. This will definitely affect the plans of U.23 Vietnam .

Thus, the four teams in Group C, including Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines and Singapore, will not travel to Chiang Mai city, but instead will gather in the capital Bangkok to compete at a stadium with a capacity of more than 51,000 seats.

With this arrangement, the 700th Anniversary Stadium in Chiang Mai city will only host 3 matches in Group B between U.23 Vietnam and Laos and Malaysia . This will affect Mr. Kim Sang-sik's opponent research plan because according to the old schedule, both Groups B and C played on the same field.

In particular, the preparation plan of coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will be greatly affected, because instead of having the first match off to "watch Malaysia play Laos", we will now have to play the first match with Laos at 6:30 p.m. on December 5 (according to Wikipedia).

U.23 Vietnam must adjust

On the contrary, Malaysia will only play their opening match 3 days later against Laos at 6:30 p.m. on December 8. At 6:30 p.m. on December 11, U.23 Vietnam will play the "final" match against Malaysia, which is supposed to compete for the top spot in Group B, along with a spot in the semi-finals.

Surprisingly, the host team Thailand will not play at Rajamangala Stadium in the capital Bangkok, but at the 30,000-seat TinsulanonStadium in Songkhla city.

It is expected that after the group stage ends, the 4 teams that make it to the semi-finals (including the 3 group winners and the only second-placed team with the best record) will move to Bangkok to play the semi-finals and finals at Rajamangala Stadium as originally planned.
