Savanna Ly Nguyen and Vu Ha Minh Duc will join the Vietnamese tennis team at the 33rd SEA Games.

The Vietnamese tennis team has just confirmed two official players to participate in the 33rd SEA Games 2025 in Thailand: Vu Ha Minh Duc and Savanna Ly Nguyen.

A representative of the Vietnam Tennis Federation said that Savanna Ly-Nguyen and Vu Ha Minh Duc have been officially awarded a place to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in 2025. Savanna Ly-Nguyen is currently practicing professional tennis in Canada. The tennis player is assessed to maintain stable performance to receive a place to participate in the Vietnamese tennis team to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in 2025.

After Ly Hoang Nam and Trinh Linh Giang switched to professional pickleball, Vu Ha Minh Duc is currently the number 1 male tennis player in Vietnam. Although Minh Duc's international achievements are still modest, in the domestic arena, the Hanoi- born tennis player is showing his dominance.

At the National Tennis Championship a week ago in Phan Thiet ( Lam Dong ), Minh Duc was crowned champion after a 6-1; 7-5 victory over his senior Nguyen Van Phuong. Another notable Vietnamese tennis player confirmed to participate in SEA Games 33 is Savanna Ly Nguyen. She is a familiar face of the national team, having won a silver medal in women's singles at SEA Games 30, a silver medal in women's team at SEA Games 31 and 2 bronze medals in women's singles and women's team - all at SEA Games 32.

Savanna Ly Nguyen was born in 2000 in Canada, was a member of the Washington State University tennis team and achieved a best ranking of 808 in the world . The special thing about Savanna's playing style is that she plays with a one-handed backhand - something quite rare in women's tennis in general.

At the 33rd SEA Games 2025, the Vietnamese tennis team will participate in all 7 events at the 33rd SEA Games 2025, including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
