Honoring the "golden hands" of the capital's workers

The Hanoi City Skilled Worker Competition 2025 was held on October 25 and 26 with 11 competing occupations, including: Universal lathe; CNC lathe; Universal milling; CNC milling; Electric welding; CO₂ welding; TIG welding; Industrial sewing; Industrial electricity; Drawing and design on computers; Automotive technology.

Candidates participate in two parts: Theory and practice, demonstrating professional qualifications and the ability to apply vocational skills in production.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, comrade Le Dinh Hung - Permanent Vice President in charge of the Hanoi City Labor Federation emphasized that emulation is always an important factor, creating motivation and strength to successfully complete the unit's production and business plan, the agency's political tasks, aiming to make practical contributions to the capital's GRDP growth target of 8% or more.

Over the years, the authorities and the Capital Trade Union have always attached importance to and promoted emulation movements. Along with "Good workers", "Creative workers", "Good workers of the Capital", etc., the movement "Reviewing theory, practicing skills, competing for good workers in the Capital" has become one of the most typical emulation movements of workers, civil servants and laborers of the Capital.

A notable point of the 2025 contest is that contestants from foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) account for 45% of the total number of contestants, reflecting the spread of the movement in the business sector.

This is one of the key activities of the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants and laborers in the capital, practically welcoming the success of the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, towards the 14th National Party Congress and the Hanoi Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Le Dinh Hung called on departments, branches, sectors and enterprises to continue to pay attention to investing in modern facilities and production equipment, focusing on training, fostering skills, taking care of the material and spiritual life of workers and laborers, creating a favorable environment for the emulation movement to develop sustainably, contributing to improving the competitiveness and labor productivity of the Capital. In addition, rewarding and honoring the "golden hands" of workers, contributing to encouraging the movement of vocational training, vocational training, innovation, building a team of skilled workers - creative - disciplined - responsible, meeting the development requirements of a civilized and modern Capital.
