Variety of sports
However, according to coaches, compared to regular surfing, kitesurfing is a sport that requires players to be good swimmers and have the physical strength to control the kite in strong winds. A coach in Mui Ne shared that, for Vietnamese visitors, kitesurfing is often not popular because it takes time to practice. On average, a person who has never played before needs about 10 hours of basic lessons, of which half of that time is to get used to how to control the kite.
The ideal time to go kitesurfing is from mid-afternoon to early afternoon during the Northeast monsoon season, when wind conditions are most stable and favorable. The cost of a kitesurfing course is usually around 5 million VND for 10 hours and after mastering the technique, players can rent equipment for around 600,000 VND/hour.

Windsurfing and kite surfing both offer unique, adventurous experiences, allowing visitors to feel the power of the ocean and the freedom of moving on the water. Each has its own requirements and difficulties, but also its own special attractions, creating a diverse and rich picture of water sports experiences in Mui Ne.
