Adjusting the progress of the National Highway 28B Upgrade Project to 2026

National Highway 28B has the meaning of connecting the " Lam Dong of thousands of flowers" region with the "Lam Dong of blue sea" region.

Accordingly, the project's progress is adjusted to complete construction and installation items by March 2026 and complete project completion procedures in 2026.

The Ministry of Construction requested the Vietnam Road Administration to inspect, review and report to the Ministry on the capital allocation plan according to the implementation progress, ensuring compliance with regulations and not exceeding the approved total investment. At the same time, it is necessary to proactively coordinate closely with localities to speed up site clearance, disburse capital in accordance with regulations, and ensure construction progress in accordance with the extended time.

The Ministry of Construction requested to soon complete the project and put it into operation to promote investment efficiency.

The Ministry of Construction also requires the establishment of an adjusted construction schedule (suitable for site clearance conditions, weather, etc.) to ensure scientific , reasonable, and feasible implementation of the project according to regulations, in accordance with the capital plan approved by competent authorities, meeting the committed schedule, and promptly completing the project and putting it into operation to promote investment efficiency. Strictly manage quality and progress to avoid loss and waste; take full responsibility before the law and the Minister of Construction in the process of project management according to regulations.

As of October 22, 2025, the site clearance work has been completed for 62/68 km, reaching 91.17%. The project has completed 44/62 km of crushed stone and 37/62 km of dense asphalt concrete.

The National Highway 28B renovation and upgrade project has a total route length of about 68 km, with a total investment of more than 1,400 billion VND. This is an important project, contributing to connecting the "Lam Dong of thousands of flowers" region with the "Lam Dong of blue sea" region, creating momentum for regional socio-economic development. According to the initial plan, the project is expected to be completed before December 31, 2025.

As of October 22, 2025, the project's site clearance work has been completed for 62/68 km, reaching 91.17%. The construction part has completed the crushed stone layer on 44/62 km and the compacted asphalt concrete layer of about 37/62 km.
