On the evening of October 29th in Ho Chi Minh City, the art program "I! A Vietnamese Person" will take place, bringing together a talented group of artists affectionately known by the audience as the "Family of Talents".

The program emphasizes the spirit of mutual support and compassion, as all revenue from ticket sales (after deducting taxes and administrative costs), along with contributions from philanthropists and partners, will be transferred to flood-affected areas through the fund of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front .

In a conversation with a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper, People's Artist Tu Long revealed previously untold stories about time pressure, artistic commitment, and the humanistic philosophy that the group of artists wanted to convey through the concert.

Highlights from the concert "I! A Vietnamese Person"

People's Artist Tu Long said that when natural disasters struck, the members of the "Talented Family" quickly discussed support plans. However, instead of simply using their personal funds, they agreed to use the collective power of their group to call on the community to join hands.

People's Artist Tu Long shared: "Initially, everyone donated money to support the people, but we discussed and agreed that we had to use our influence to gather people together, creating a collective effort from the community."

He argued that while individual contributions are solitary, organizing a large-scale music event creates "collective strength," embodying the spirit of: "One tree alone cannot make a forest, but three trees together can make a mountain."

People's Artist Tu Long admitted that the artists faced great pressure when the program was branded "The Talented Family" - a collective of individuals who had already established their names and had their own fan bases.

"This isn't the story of a few 'talented individuals,' but the brand of the entire team," said People's Artist Tu Long.

He also emphasized that while the message of support is meant to be positive, the artistic quality of " I! Vietnamese People" must still be up to par.

The 33 artists hoped that the concert would not simply be a fundraising event, but also a high-quality artistic event , executed in the most professional manner possible.

Despite the tight deadline, the program still managed to assemble a highly experienced team including top directors and music directors.

People's Artist Tu Long further shared that the most active and energetic person from the very beginning until now has been MC Anh Tuan - the 34th "talent" of the program.

“Besides the enthusiastic participation of the artists, Tuan played a connecting role, coordinating with the director, music director, and organizing units to make the ' I! Vietnamese' concert a success.”

Through Dan Tri newspaper , on behalf of the artists in the "Talented Family" group, I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Anh Tuan - who has made great efforts, shown enthusiasm, and acted very quickly - creating a strong bond between everyone," People's Artist Tu Long expressed.

In terms of performance, "I! Vietnamese" is envisioned as a concert of synergy and an opportunity for artists to showcase their individual strengths.

People's Artist Tu Long revealed: "This time, the artists will showcase their individuality and strengths more to enrich the spiritual experience. Audiences will enjoy familiar songs that are easy to sing along to, alongside songs that are being released for the first time."

Audiences can look forward to spectacular solo performances from Trong Hieu, Rhymastic, Cuong Seven, and others…

Professionalism is also demonstrated through the personal efforts of People's Artist Tu Long.

While most artists live in Ho Chi Minh City, People's Artist Tu Long had to arrange a packed schedule, flying to Ho Chi Minh City to perform on the evening of October 29th and then returning to Hanoi that same night to be able to participate in the competition for a play about the late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet by the Army Cheo Theatre on the morning of October 30th in Bac Giang (now Bac Ninh).

"I! A Vietnamese" emphasizes identity and a culture of kindness.

People's Artist Tu Long shared the story behind the title "I! A Vietnamese Person": "Associating 'I' with 'Vietnamese Person' is not only a source of pride, but also an affirmation of identity - that only we, this nation, can accomplish such extraordinary things," the male artist expressed.

According to People's Artist Tu Long, that name has an expansive and connecting meaning that goes beyond material elements. Whether directly participating or supporting remotely via QR code, everyone can proudly say: "I participate, I am Vietnamese."

Tu Long stated: “Even those who do not have Vietnamese citizenship but live in and love our country can still say ‘I am Vietnamese’ when they join hands to share. That is the value of independence, uniqueness, and humanity that the program aims for.”

I! The Vietnamese people also believe that kindness is the core of their culture. People's Artist Tu Long shared his perspective: "It's not necessary to do big things to do good. A good deed should start with the smallest things; what's important is each person's awareness and understanding of sharing and giving."

According to People's Artist Tu Long, "I! A Vietnamese Person" is the culmination of the tradition of "mutual support" and "helping those in need" - where participants not only contribute materially but also convey a spirit of solidarity and spread love to those in need.
