The Ministry of Education and Training affirms that it will handle the case in accordance with the law. The Ministry is also considering establishing a comprehensive inspection team to examine the operations of the London College of Design and Fashion - Hanoi.
"The Ministry of Education and Training will strictly handle any violations (if any) within its authority; while ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of students based on full compliance with current regulations," according to the Ministry of Education and Training.
According to the Ministry, immediately after receiving media reports regarding the recognition of diplomas and joint training activities related to the London-Hanoi College of Design and Fashion , representatives from the Ministry's specialized units met this morning (December 12) to review and advise the Ministry's leadership on a course of action.

Based on the available records, documents, and information, and in comparison with current legal regulations and relevant specialized units, the Ministry recognizes that this is a complex issue involving multiple legal entities and shows signs of non-compliance with current regulations on international training partnerships.
Therefore, it is necessary to continue requesting relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to report and provide more information on the training activities, joint training programs, and diploma issuance of the London - Hanoi College of Design and Fashion to verify and clarify the issues raised by the press and students.

Previously, as reported by Dan Tri newspaper , a number of students from the London College of Design and Fashion - Hanoi were surprised when the Ministry of Education and Training refused to authenticate their university degrees issued by Liverpool John Moores University.
The reason for rejection is that the online undergraduate program in Fashion, Design, and Communication offered by Liverpool John Moores University has not been licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training for joint training in Vietnam. There have been cases where students only discovered their undergraduate degree was not recognized after completing their master's degree.
