On October 25, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, said that Australian travel magazine Lonely Planet included Quy Nhon in the list of the world's top 25 destinations in 2026, alongside prominent destinations such as Brazil, Mexico, and Ireland.
“Being introduced by a prestigious travel magazine is a great opportunity to promote and attract tourists to Gia Lai in general and Quy Nhon in particular, especially international visitors,” Ms. Chung emphasized.

According to Ms. Chung, the provincial tourism industry will soon have a specific plan to increase promotion based on the information published by Australian travel magazine Lonely Planet.
Previously, on October 21, Australian travel magazine Lonely Planet announced the list "Best in Travel 2026", introducing the top 25 destinations next year.
In the list of top 25 destinations in 2026, Vietnam is represented by Quy Nhon. Quy Nhon city, former Binh Dinh province, now belongs to Quy Nhon, Quy Nhon Nam, Quy Nhon Dong wards (Gia Lai province), nestled between the sea on one side and the mountains on the other with long, poetic, curved beaches, golden sand and clear blue water.

Quy Nhon has beautiful beaches and many famous tourist destinations such as Nhon Hai - Hon Kho, Ky Co - Eo Gio, Ghenh Rang Tien Sa, Cu Lao Xanh Island,... along with many Cham towers and ancient pagodas.
Local cuisine is also a highlight with specialties such as jumping shrimp pancakes, rice vermicelli with pork porridge, vermicelli, fish cakes and fresh seafood prepared in a rustic, rich flavor.
Quy Nhon City (old) was also honored twice as "ASEAN Clean Tourist City".
