According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, in the first 8 months of 2025, the city welcomed 12.8 million visitors, including 5 million international visitors, an increase of 23.4% over the same period last year. This number continued to increase sharply in the third quarter, when Da Nang recorded more than 5.8 million international visitors in the first 9 months of the year.
Among the international tourist markets to Da Nang, European visitors are particularly impressed with the city on the Han River. From the Netherlands to Turkey, international writers call Da Nang “an unmissable stop on the journey to discover Vietnam” – where the colors of culture, architecture and nature blend into a picture that delights Western tourists.
In an article published in Azië & Down Under Magazine (Netherlands), journalist Mark Lieffers described Da Nang as “a city where tradition and modernity coexist, where the past and the future coexist in one bright horizon”.

The fairy tale-like scenery of Sun World Ba Na Hills "fascinates" visitors.
The attraction of Da Nang is pointed out by the newspapers because the city has many outstanding tourist attractions, with iconic bridges, historical sites, and unique cuisine . All traditional experiences are harmoniously blended with modern and attractive entertainment experiences, and most prominent of all, is the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area.
Located at an altitude of 1,414m above sea level, Sun World Ba Na Hills is called “paradise in the clouds” by European writers. The journey on the cable car to the top of Ba Na is not only a means of transportation, but also a world-class engineering masterpiece, holding many Guinness records that make domestic and foreign tourists admire.
Author Lieffers describes the journey to the tourist area by cable car, which is more than 5 km long, as “flying into another world”. With the same perspective, TourMaG magazine (France) describes the experience of taking the cable car to the top of Ba Na as “an emotional ritual” – when you leave the noisy pace of life to enter a surreal space, where architecture and nature blend.

Tourists everywhere love to check-in when coming to the "fairy world" of Ba Na Hills.
When arriving at Sun World Ba Na Hills, writer Ayşe Akalın from Türkiye's Aviation Turkey newspaper commented that Ba Na Hills is "a fairyland in the middle of reality".
TravMag (Belgium) compared Ba Na to "a surprising mirror, allowing Europeans to see their own familiar image in a completely different perspective" - a combination of French romance and the softness of Vietnamese culture, skillfully blended to the point of resembling " a fairy world in the clouds" .
According to this foreign journalist, Ba Na Hills is not only attractive because of its architecture but also because of its pleasant climate, like "living in four seasons in just one day". Female author Akalın described: "The morning is as gentle as spring, the noon is bright with summer sunshine, the afternoon has a gentle autumn breeze and the night is as cold as winter.
Here, time seems to stand still, and every moment has a different flavor.” It is this magical quality that makes many Western tourists compare Ba Na Hills to “a playground in the clouds”, where people, nature and emotions blend together, and you can never predict what Ba Na will treat you to.
According to TravMag (Belgium), for those looking for "Instagram-worthy" scenery, Ba Na Hills is the place that brings together all the elements that will make visitors amazed.
From the French Village, the Fantasy Park indoor playground, the unique themed slides and games, walking through the cobblestone streets, St Denis Church and the bustling square, visitors can also immerse themselves in the street shows that always surprise visitors, the bustling music, or visit Ba Na Brewhouse - the highest beer factory in Vietnam, all creating a complete experience.
Aviation Turkey newspaper commented that it is the "harmonious combination of natural scenery, architecture and experience" that makes Ba Na Hills one of the most unique destinations in Southeast Asia.

Golden Bridge – “global media fever” has created a tourism symbol of Vietnam.
But what has made the international media particularly fascinated is the Golden Bridge – the iconic structure of Vietnamese tourism that has turned Ba Na Hills into a global media sensation, according to the Finnish newspaper Ikkunpaikka. Suspended in the clouds, the nearly 150-meter-long bridge looks like a softly curved silk strip, supported by two giant stone hands rising from the mountainside.
The bridge is described as a scene “beyond imagination” (TourMaG). And from the perspective of Aviation Turkey, it is called a “work with a magical fairy tale-like appearance, as if a giant in Vietnamese mythology is holding the bridge in his hands”.
Through the "winged" words from writers from Europe, it can be seen that Sun World Ba Na Hills is an unmissable stop in every tourist's journey to explore Da Nang.
The trip will be more complete when, after relaxing moments by the sea and exploring the unique culture and cuisine of the Han River city, visitors can step into a surreal world at the top of Ba Na - where miracles await visitors behind the clouds, as TourMag commented: "It's as if Europe and Asia meet on this mountain top".
