More than 620,000 tourists come to Da Nang on September 2nd holiday

During this year's National Day holiday (from August 30 to September 2), tourist areas and destinations in the area welcomed a large number of domestic and international visitors to visit and relax. The total number of visitors to Da Nang during this time reached more than 620,000, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2024.

Still an attractive destination

From the first days of the holiday, many tourists enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and colorful flags in Hoi An ancient town. In the central area near the Japanese Covered Bridge and other tourist attractions, tourists enjoyed walking and taking souvenir photos.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh (tourist from Hanoi ) expressed that the atmosphere here is very different, both vibrant but still retains its nostalgic beauty. The locals are friendly, tourists can comfortably visit and have fun.

At Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area, David Lammy (a British tourist) could not hide his surprise. He shared: “I feel very lucky to come to Da Nang on the occasion of the country's National Day. We were able to immerse ourselves in the brilliant space of flags and flowers from the airport, the Golden Bridge at Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area as well as the impressive shows.”

The city also organizes many activities to serve the people and tourists such as: fire and water spraying at Dragon Bridge; entertainment along the walking street; Hoi An ancient town organizes traditional craft village activities, traditional musical instrument concerts, folk songs; music exchange "Melody of Time"; street art performances with the theme "Hoi An - Hello New Day"; Thanh Ha pottery village organizes the Pottery Ancestor Death Anniversary Festival...

Tourist areas and spots have many unique and novel events to meet the entertainment and enjoyment needs of the people. According to the representative of the leader of Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area, this holiday season the tourist area recorded a bustling atmosphere with thousands of domestic and international visitors coming to have fun.

Ms. Le Thi Bich Huong, Director of Communications & Marketing of Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park, said that on this occasion, the resort offers visitors many new experiences from the space full of flags and flowers, programs aimed at national holidays, commemorating heroes who sacrificed for the Fatherland. During the 4 days of the holiday, the resort welcomed and served about 14,000 visitors.

The special national monument Ngu Hanh Son welcomes about 3,500 visitors every day, of which about 80% are international visitors.

Tourist growth is quite good.

During the 4-day holiday, the total number of visitors to Da Nang reached more than 620,000, an increase of 24% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors are estimated at more than 168,000, an increase of 49%; domestic visitors are estimated at more than 452,000, an increase of 17%. Total tourism revenue reached more than 2.2 trillion VND, an increase of 28% over the same period in 2024.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tan Van Vuong, this year's holiday, cultural, sports and tourism activities in the city took place vibrantly and uniquely.

Activities are organized richly and diversely in content and form to meet the needs of spiritual culture and entertainment of the people and tourists. Security and order at tourist attractions are focused on.

The average room occupancy rate in the whole city is about 55-60%, of which the occupancy rate of 4-5 star hotels and equivalent is 65-70%; many 4-5 star hotels in An Hai ward, Ngu Hanh Son ward, Hoi An Dong ward have an occupancy rate of over 80%.

From August 29 to September 2, Da Nang International Airport welcomed 687 flights, with an average frequency of 137 flights/day (an increase of 18.4% over the same period in 2024). Of which, 395 were domestic flights (an increase of 22.7% over the same period in 2024), with an average domestic frequency of 79 flights/day; 292 were international flights (an increase of 14.7% over the same period in 2024), with an average international frequency of 58-59 flights/day.

Total flights to Chu Lai International Airport are 34 domestic flights, equivalent to the same period in 2024.
