Successfully coming back from behind against PVF CAND, Ninh Binh continues to maintain the top position in the table.

On the evening of October 25, the opening matches of round 8 of V.League 2025-2026 took place, PVF CAND hosted Ninh Binh at home.

Right from the first minutes of the match, both new players of the Premier League chose to play very openly, creating an exciting match. After only 10 minutes of play, with the home field advantage, PVF CAND opened the score.

In the 10th minute, from a good coordination between two U23 Vietnam players, Xuan Bac made an accurate pass for Thanh Nhan to curl the ball into the near corner, defeating goalkeeper Van Lam, bringing PVF CAND to a 1-0 lead. Having unexpectedly taken the lead, Ninh Binh quickly pushed up their attacking formation, applying pressure to find an opportunity to score an equalizer.

In the 31st minute, from an attack on the left wing of Ninh Binh, Tran Bao Toan made a breakthrough to eliminate Thai Quy and Cong Den of the home team before finishing while surrounded by 3 PVF-CAND players, sending the ball to the far corner, defeating goalkeeper Sy Huy, equalizing for the away team.

Just 4 minutes later, goalkeeper Sy Huy's goal continued to shake. In the 35th minute, Quoc Viet pushed the ball out to his teammate on the right wing to cross the ball to the far post, creating an opportunity for Daniel Da Silva to swoop in and score the second goal for the home team, raising the score to 2-1 for Ninh Binh.

Entering the second half, PVF CAND had to take the initiative to attack in search of a goal. The second half of the match took place at a fairly fast pace. The two teams played tit for tat. In fact, CAND PVF had many opportunities to equalize. Notably, in the 81st minute, the home team's foreign player passed goalkeeper Van Lam but could not finish in a tight angle.

The stalemate lasted until the 86th minute, before Ninh Binh ended all hopes of PVF CAND. From a quick attack, after a good fight outside the PVF-CAND penalty area, Ninh Binh captain midfielder Hoang Duc made a beautiful left-footed shot that beat goalkeeper Sy Huy for the third time, raising the score to 3-1, and also sealing the match.

With a 3-1 victory over PVF CAND, Ninh Binh continued to maintain the top position with 20 points. In the same match, Hanoi FC won 2-1 against Becamex Ho Chi Minh City.
