In his opening speech, comrade Trang Thanh Nam, Chairman of Phu Dong Commune Trade Union, emphasized that immediately after its establishment, the organization quickly went into operation, closely following the direction of the City Labor Federation, focusing on consolidating the apparatus, building a working routine, connecting grassroots unions in the area, and gradually promoting its role as a trusted representative of union members and workers.

During the 2025 - 2030 term, the Commune Trade Union set out many specific and practical targets: 90% or more of union members and workers are propagandized and study resolutions, policies and laws; 100% of union members with difficult circumstances are cared for and looked after when requested; 100% of grassroots union officials are trained in skills and expertise; strive to have over 72% of agencies, units and enterprises meeting cultural standards annually out of the total number of registered units.

The Commune Trade Union identified three key breakthroughs: Building a team of union officials with intelligence, courage, enthusiasm, responsibility and the ability to innovate and apply digital transformation; promoting dialogue and collective bargaining, focusing on employment, wages, and occupational safety and hygiene; strengthening the gathering and mobilization of workers to join trade unions, consolidating the organization's position in the non-state enterprise sector.

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Dong Commune Nguyen Mau Quang requested the Commune Trade Union to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation, closely following the requirements of the digital transformation period, taking workers as the center, performing well the representative function, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members.

All activities of the trade union must be directed towards the grassroots, closely connected with the workers, taking the workers as the center of activities. Immediately after the Congress, the Executive Committee of the new term of the Commune Trade Union needs to develop a program and plan to implement the Congress Resolution, promote the role of a bridge between the Party, the government and the workers; actively participate in building a clean and strong government; promote patriotic emulation movements, and link with local socio -economic development.

The Congress announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, comrade Trang Thanh Nam was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of Phu Dong Commune Trade Union.
