Congress of Vietnam Retailers Association: Creating a breakthrough in the distribution - retail sector

On the afternoon of October 26, the Association of Vietnamese Retailers (AVR) held the 4th National Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.

Vice President of AVR, Term III, Tran Thi Phuong Lan was elected President of AVR for the 2025-2030 term.

Reporting at the Congress, AVR Vice President Tran Thi Phuong Lan said that with the theme "Vietnam's retail industry: Integration - Development - Breakthrough - Success - For the benefit of consumers", in the past 5 years (2019-2024), AVR has expanded its network to 111 members, admitting 47 new businesses. At the same time, AVR plays the role of a policy bridge, participating in giving opinions, criticizing and recommending many policies related to trade, retail, digital transformation, international integration, etc.

In order to support businesses in developing retail systems and consuming Vietnamese goods, AVR has connected with the Federation of Asia- Pacific Retail Associations, domestic and foreign industry associations, promoting trade in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Brazil, etc.; expanding the distribution system, strongly developing all types of trade, especially in rural, mountainous, remote and isolated areas, etc. Thereby, AVR helps people access and purchase high-quality Vietnamese goods through a modern and civilized retail model.

The members of the Association have actively participated in market stabilization programs, trade promotion, consumer stimulus..., contributing many achievements to economic recovery and development. Member enterprises also contributed 25 billion VND to charity work, social security...

During the 2025-2030 term, AVR will continue to affirm its role as a bridge between the State - businesses - consumers; promote participation in building and reviewing policies on retail, e-commerce, logistics... Along with that, promote digital transformation, apply green technology; develop commercial infrastructure, expand modern retail networks to rural, mountainous and island areas...

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of AVR for the 4th term; Vice President of AVR for the 3rd term Tran Thi Phuong Lan was elected President of AVR for the 2025-2030 term.
