
Reporting at the Congress, AVR Vice President Tran Thi Phuong Lan stated that, with the theme "Vietnam's Retail Industry: Integration - Development - Breakthrough - Success - For the Benefit of Consumers," over the past five years (2019-2024), AVR has expanded its network to 111 members and admitted 47 new businesses. At the same time, AVR has played a key role as a policy bridge, participating in providing feedback, critical analysis, and recommendations on numerous policies related to trade, retail, digital transformation, and international integration.
To support businesses in developing retail systems and selling Vietnamese goods, AVR has connected with the Federation of Asian- Pacific Retail Associations, domestic and international industry associations, and promoted trade in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Brazil, etc.; expanding the distribution system and strongly developing various forms of commerce, especially in rural, mountainous, and remote areas. Through this, AVR helps people access and purchase high-quality Vietnamese goods through a modern and civilized retail model.
Members of the Association have actively participated in market stabilization programs, trade promotion, and consumer stimulus, contributing significantly to economic recovery and development. Member businesses have also contributed 25 billion VND to charitable and social welfare activities.
During the 2025-2030 term, AVR will continue to affirm its role as a bridge between the State, businesses, and consumers; actively participate in the development and critique of policies on retail, e-commerce, logistics, etc. Alongside this, it will promote digital transformation, the application of green technologies; develop commercial infrastructure, and expand the modern retail network to rural, mountainous, and island areas.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of AVR for the fourth term; Tran Thi Phuong Lan, Vice President of AVR for the third term, was elected President of AVR for the 2025-2030 term.
